Okay, so I’ve been wanting a Rottweiler puppy for a while now. I finally decided to take the plunge and started looking around. I’m in Kentucky, so I wanted to find a breeder nearby.
First, I went online and just started googling like crazy. I typed in stuff like “Rottweiler puppies for sale in Kentucky” and “Rottweiler breeders in Kentucky.” I found a bunch of websites, but a few kept popping up like , Pawrade, and some other one called Good Dog.

seemed like a pretty big site with lots of listings, so I spent some time clicking around there. You could filter by breed and location, so that was helpful. I found a few breeders listed there that were in Kentucky or close by. I wrote down their names and contact info. But something in my gut told me to keep looking.
Then I went over to Pawrade. Their website looked a little more polished and professional. They emphasized that they work with trusted breeders, which made me feel a bit better. I looked through their Rottweiler listings for Kentucky and found a couple of options there too. They said you could get puppies transported to you, that was kind of cool. I guess it saves you the trouble of traveling.
- Searched online for Rottweiler puppies in Kentucky.
- Checked out websites like , Pawrade, and Good Dog.
- Found some potential breeders on and Pawrade.
- Noted that Pawrade mentioned puppy transportation.
What I Did
I also looked at Good Dog, but it was hard for me to navigate. I’m not sure what happened, but I couldn’t find any puppies through their site. It kept telling me to search again and that no puppies were available. I got frustrated and gave up on them.
After looking at all those websites, I decided to focus on the breeders I found on and Pawrade. I wanted to get a feel for who they were and if they were legit. I started looking them up individually online, trying to find reviews or any info about them. Some had websites, some didn’t. It was a real mixed bag.
One breeder I found through didn’t have a website, but I found their phone number. I called them up, and we chatted for a bit. They seemed nice enough, but I still wasn’t 100% sure.
Another breeder, which I found listed on Pawrade, had a pretty good-looking website. They had pictures of their dogs and their facilities. I shot them an email asking a bunch of questions about their breeding practices and the puppies’ health. They got back to me pretty quickly, and their answers were reassuring.
So, that’s where I’m at now. I’ve narrowed it down to a couple of breeders that I feel okay about. Still need to do some more digging, though, like checking with the vet and maybe trying to find people who’ve gotten puppies from them before. It’s a process, that’s for sure! But I am determined to find my perfect Rottweiler puppy from a good breeder here in Kentucky.
