Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole corgi thing. You know, the Welsh Corgi Cardigan and Welsh Corgi Pembroke. I found these two breeds really got me interested, so I wanted to find more about them.
First off, I started noticing how these two types of corgis are different. It’s not just about how they look. I mean, sure, the Cardigans are a bit bigger and have this fox-like vibe going on. And the Pembrokes, they’re a bit smaller.

- I spent some time watching videos of both, you know, just to see them move around.
- The Cardigans, they’ve got this sturdy walk, it made them look quite cool.
- And the Pembrokes, they’re more bouncy, kind of like they’re always ready to play. I found them really adorable.
But it’s not all about the looks, right? I got curious about how they act. So, I read a bunch of stuff online. Seems like the Pembrokes are the outgoing type, always up for a chat. The Cardigans, though, they’re a bit more chill, more like the quiet, thoughtful type.
I thought, “Okay, which one would be a better buddy for me?” I’m not super active, but I do like a good walk. Turns out, both need a decent amount of exercise. But they’re also cool with just hanging out, which is great.
Making the Choice
So, after all this digging, I decided to go with a Pembroke. Their playful nature just clicked with me. Plus, I heard they’re pretty good for first-time dog owners, which I definitely am. I visited a local breeder, just to see them in person. And man, they were even cuter up close!
I picked out this little guy, and it was like we were meant to be. Bringing him home was a big step, but it felt right. We’re still getting to know each other, but it’s been a blast so far. He’s got this way of making every day brighter. So yeah, that’s my corgi story. It’s been quite the adventure, and it’s just getting started!
