So, I got this Bissell ProHeat Pet carpet cleaner, and I thought I’d share how I’ve been using it. It’s been a real lifesaver for my carpets, especially with the pets around.
First off, before I even touched the Bissell, I went over the carpet with my regular vacuum. I made sure to get all that loose dirt and pet hair up. It’s kind of a pain, but it’s got to be done. You know, just going over it real good with the brush attachment and getting into the corners.

Next, I looked for those nasty spots where the color was way off. I hit those spots first with a pet stain remover spray. I sprayed it on and let it sit for a bit to do its thing. It was a bit of extra work, but it made a huge difference.
Then, I got to the Bissell. I filled up the tank with warm water and some of that Bissell cleaning solution. Make sure to use the right stuff, though. I heard if you don’t, it can mess up the machine, and nobody wants that.
I turned the machine on, and I had a couple of cleaning modes to choose from. “Express Clean” for a quick once-over, and “MAX Clean” or “DEEP Clean” for when things were really bad. I mostly used the DEEP Clean because, well, my carpets needed it.
I started moving the cleaner slowly over the carpet, back and forth. I could see it spraying and scrubbing away. It was kind of satisfying, to be honest. I could see all that dirt getting sucked up, and it was like, “Yeah, take that, dirt!”
After I was done, I made sure to empty out the dirty water tank and gave the machine a good rinse. I don’t want that nasty stuff sitting in there and stinking up the place.
Honestly, it was a bit of a workout, pushing that thing around, but my carpets looked so much better afterward. They were cleaner, smelled fresher, and it felt good to get all that gunk out.
So yeah, that’s how I’ve been tackling my carpets with the Bissell ProHeat Pet. It’s not the most exciting thing in the world, but it works. And if you’ve got pets, or even if you don’t, it’s a pretty handy tool to have around. My carpets are way happier now, and so am I!
