Hey everyone, so today I was messing around with a project that involved finding out about some unique non-sporting dogs. It was a real eye-opener, let me tell you. I always thought I knew a bit about dogs, but this dive really showed me how much variety there is out there.
First off, I started by just browsing around, trying to get a general sense of what’s considered “non-sporting.” It turns out it’s a pretty broad category. I spent a good chunk of time just reading through forums and blogs, getting a feel for the kinds of dogs people were talking about.

Then I started to compile a list. I jotted down the names of every dog that seemed to fit the bill. My list got pretty long, pretty fast. I started organizing them by size, just to make it a little easier to look through.
- Big ones
- Small ones
- And everything in between
Next, I dug deeper into each breed. I was reading about their temperaments, what kind of care they need, and just any interesting tidbits I could find. I was pretty much glued to my computer at this point. My process involved cross-referencing stuff from different sources, just to make sure I was getting the full picture.
What I found out
Honestly, the sheer diversity blew me away. You’ve got dogs that are super fluffy, some that are practically hairless, and everything in between. Some are real couch potatoes, while others need tons of exercise. This made me realize there’s probably a perfect dog out there for just about anyone, no matter what your lifestyle is.
After I felt like I had a good grasp on things, I started putting together a little guide. I organized all the info I gathered, added some pictures, and tried to make it as user-friendly as possible. I even added some personal notes about which breeds I found most interesting.
All in all, it was a pretty fun and educational experience. I definitely learned a lot, and it made me appreciate dogs even more. Hope this little rundown of my process was helpful or at least a bit interesting. Catch you guys later!
