It’s one thing if it’s for medical reasons, but it’s another if you’re doin’ it just ‘cause your cat’s scratchin’ up your furniture. There are always other ways, folks.
So, to sum it up, declawing is a big ol’ decision, and one that shouldn’t be taken lightly. If you’re in a state or city where it’s been banned, well, that’s probably a good thing. It means people are startin’ to realize just how much harm it does to them poor cats. You can still take good care of your cat without havin’ to take away what makes them a cat. Just be smart, and think about alternatives before you go messin’ with their paws. Your kitty will thank you for it.
