Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience finding and purchasing a puppy from Taliaferro Kennels:
So, I’ve been wanting a puppy for the longest time. After many, many months of looking around, my mind was finally set on a Cavapoo, you know, those adorable fluffy mixes. I started digging online, checking out different breeders, and that’s when I stumbled upon Taliaferro Kennels. I saw they had a Facebook page, which is great because I could see more pictures of the pups there.
First, I hopped on Facebook and checked out their page, “Taliaferro Kennel”. They had pictures of all sorts of cute pups, not just Cavapoos, but also French Bulldogs and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. It looked legit, and I got a good vibe from what I saw.
Then, after more looking around, I learned that they’ve got a litter from Willow, bred to some AKC Remy guy, that had 4 puppies on December 5th. Good timing! I also noticed that they had some Cavalon pups available named Moose and Cowboy. They mentioned their Papillon puppies were all taken, though. It seemed like they had quite a few litters going on.
Contacting the Breeder
Since I was serious about getting a puppy, I decided to reach out to them. The info I found online said I could message them through a contact form, text, or even call. I opted for the contact form, which felt a bit more formal to me. I sent them a message expressing my interest in a Cavapoo pup and asked about their availability, pricing, and any health guarantee or health certificate, you know, the usual stuff.
Waiting for Response
It was a bit of a waiting game after that. But you know that feeling, it’s like waiting for a text back from your crush, hah! Finally, I got a reply! They were super friendly and answered all my questions. They told me about the current Cavapoo litter, their personalities, and all that good stuff. We chatted back and forth for a bit, and I felt pretty comfortable with them.
Making It Happen
After some more back-and-forth, I decided to go for it. They helped me arrange transportation to my hometown area, which, like others I saw, seemed to be a common service for them. They’re located near Youngstown, OH, and also have options for Warren, OH, which is not exactly right around the corner from me, so the transportation option was a lifesaver.
Bringing My Pup Home
The day finally came when my little furball arrived! It was honestly one of the happiest days ever. He’s the cutest, most playful little thing, and he’s already settled into our home like he’s always been here. He’s a bundle of energy and full of love.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience with Taliaferro Kennels. They were responsive, helpful, and most importantly, they clearly care about their puppies. If you’re thinking about getting a pup, definitely check them out. Just remember to do your research and ask lots of questions, just like I did. You want to make sure you’re getting a healthy, happy pup from a good breeder.
