Alright, let’s talk about this Siberian Husky Yorkie mix, or whatever them fancy folks call it. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? I ain’t never seen one myself, but I’ve seen plenty of dogs in my time, so I reckon I can tell ya a thing or two.
First off, what’s a Husky like? Well, them Huskies, they’re big, fluffy fellas, always runnin’ around like they got ants in their pants. Friendly enough, though. Never met a Husky that didn’t wag its tail at ya, even if you were a stranger. But they’re strong-willed, like my ol’ mule, stubborn as can be. Gotta keep ’em busy, or they’ll tear up your house quicker than a squirrel can hide a nut. They need room to roam, you know? Can’t just keep ’em cooped up inside all day. That ain’t right.

Now, these Yorkies… they’re somethin’ else. Tiny little things, yappy as all get-out. Always barkin’ at the wind, I swear. But they’re loyal, gotta give ’em that. Stick to you like glue. And they think they’re tough, even though they’re smaller than a loaf of bread. Protective, too. Wouldn’t let a fly near ya, if they could help it.
So, you mix these two together, whatcha get? Well, I imagine it’s a bit of a mixed bag, like a stew with all sorts of vegetables in it. Some things you like, some things you don’t, but it all fills your belly in the end.
What does a Siberian Husky Yorkie mix look like? I reckon they wouldn’t be as big as a Husky, that’s for sure. Maybe somewhere in the middle, like a good-sized chicken, you know? The book says they might be 12 to 15 inches tall, which ain’t too big. And weight-wise, maybe 20 to 40 pounds. Heavy enough to feel substantial, but not so heavy you can’t pick ’em up if you need to.
- Size: About 12 to 15 inches tall, like I said.
- Weight: 20 to 40 pounds, give or take.
- Coat: Now, the fur… that could be anything. Huskies got that thick fur, keeps ’em warm in the winter. Yorkies, they got long, silky hair. So this mix? Could be fluffy, could be silky, could be somethin’ in between. Medium to long, the book says. Gotta be ready for some shedding, though. All that fur’s gotta go somewhere, right?
What about their personality? Well, if they’re anything like their parents, they’ll be friendly, that’s for sure. Huskies are good with folks, and Yorkies, well, they love their families. But they might be a bit stubborn, like those Huskies. And they might be yappy, like them Yorkies. Gotta train ’em good, that’s what I say. Start ’em young, teach ’em some manners. Can’t have a dog runnin’ around, barkin’ at everything and not listenin’ to a word ya say.
Are they good family dogs? Probably. Like I said, Huskies and Yorkies both love their families. But you gotta be prepared for some energy. Huskies got energy to spare, and even them little Yorkies can be pretty lively. So if you ain’t got time to play with ’em, walk ’em, give ’em somethin’ to do, maybe this ain’t the dog for you. They need attention, you know? Can’t just leave ’em to their own devices. That ain’t fair to the dog, and it ain’t fair to you, neither.
Training these fellas might be a bit of a chore. Huskies are smart, but they’re also independent. They do what they wanna do, when they wanna do it. And Yorkies, well, they can be a bit bossy, thinkin’ they’re the ones in charge. So you gotta be patient, gotta be consistent. And you gotta be firm, but fair. Can’t be yellin’ and screamin’ at ’em, that don’t do no good. Gotta show ’em what you want, and reward ’em when they do it right. That’s the best way to train any dog, if you ask me.
And health-wise, can’t say for sure. Every dog’s different, you know? But Huskies are generally pretty healthy, and Yorkies, well, they can have some problems, being so small and all. So it’s a gamble, like plantin’ seeds in the garden. You do your best, you hope for the best, but sometimes things just happen. Gotta be prepared for that, too. Take ’em to the vet regular-like, make sure they’re gettin’ their shots and all that. That’s the best you can do.

So, all in all, this Husky Yorkie mix… it could be a good dog, could be a handful. Just depends on the dog, and depends on you. If you’re willin’ to put in the time and effort, if you’re patient and consistent, and if you’re ready for some love and some fur, then maybe this is the dog for you. But if you ain’t, well, maybe you should stick to a goldfish. They’re a lot less trouble, that’s for sure.
