Okay, so I saw this thing online the other day, and it got me thinking. The title was “What Happened to Ruby on 9 and 10 News?” and, well, I had to know more. So I started digging around, just like I always do when something catches my eye.
First thing I did was a quick search. I found a bunch of people asking the same question. “Where did Christina and Ruby go?” they were saying. Some folks noticed that their bios were gone from the 9 and 10 News website. This was getting interesting, I had to investigate this for myself.

I went to the 9 and 10 News website myself, and sure enough, no bios for Christina or Ruby. Hmm, something was definitely up. I kept looking. Found out that one of their meteorologists, Tom O’Hare, had his last day recently. He’d been there for 20 years. Twenty years! That’s a long time. It’s weird when familiar faces disappear like that, you know?
Trying to find more clues
Then, I stumbled upon some information about a completely different Ruby – Ruby Fox-Miligan from some show called Emmerdale. Apparently, there was some heavy stuff going on with her character’s backstory, something about abuse from her father. This wasn’t the Ruby I was looking for, but it made me think about how many different stories are out there, all tangled up in this name.
- Looked up people named “Ruby” online.
- Found news about a Ruby Franke and some serious charges against her.
And then, another Ruby popped up: Ruby Franke. This one was real-life and really sad, too. She and another woman were arrested last year for child abuse. Six counts. It’s awful to think about. This definitely wasn’t related to the news anchors, but it was another piece of the puzzle that is the internet, I guess.
So, after all that, I still don’t know what happened to the Ruby from 9 and 10 News. It’s just one of those things that makes you wonder. Maybe she moved on to another job, or maybe there’s something else going on. It just goes to show how quickly things can change, especially in the news business. I’ll probably keep an eye out, though, just in case any more news pops up. You never know what you might find when you start digging!
