That raw food diet, they call it BARF. Sounds kinda nasty, but it’s good for him. Like what they ate long time ago, I reckon. Before all them fancy kibbles and such.
He gets chicken, beef, sometimes fish. All raw, mind you. Gotta be careful though. No chocolate for dogs, no sir. That stuff is poison to them. Grapes too, keep those away. My neighbor’s dog, he got real sick from grapes once.

Sometimes, I give him carrots and apples. He likes those too. Crunchy, you see. Good for him. But not too much. Don’t want him getting a tummy ache. Everything in moderation, like they say.
Peanut butter too, sometimes. Just a little bit though. That’s a treat, not a meal. He goes crazy for peanut butter, that Big Black. Licks the spoon clean, he does.
This raw food diet for Rottweilers, it ain’t always easy. Gotta make sure you’re doing it right. Gotta get the right kind of meat, the right amount. Can’t just throw anything in his bowl.

This raw food, it’s natural. It’s what dogs are meant to eat. Before they were living in houses and eating out of bags, they were out there, hunting and scavenging. This is closer to that, I reckon.
