Okay, so the other day, I was messing around with this “rottweiler bite” thing, just for kicks. I mean, I’ve seen those videos online, and I was curious about, like, the actual force behind it. Not in a weird way, you know? Just… curious.
So, first, I googled around – a lot. I wanted to get some background, see what other people had done, maybe find some, like, actual numbers. I wasn’t trying to do anything crazy, just learn.

Then, I grabbed this old, thick leather belt that I don’t use anymore. It felt pretty tough, like it could take some serious pressure. It was super important get some materials that could give me some good data.
- Old leather belt
- Some rope
- A sturdy stick
- Gloves (safety first, even when you’re just messing around!)
Next, I wrapped the belt around the stick, super tight. The idea was to make something that kind of simulated, uh, an arm, I guess? I tied it all down with the rope, so it wouldn’t unravel.
My Little Experiment
Then came the, uh, “fun” part. I put on the gloves, held the stick with the belt thing, and basically just… let my buddy’s Rottweiler, Max (with his owner’s permission, of course!), chomp down on it. We were careful to keep Max, me and my buddy safe the whole time. No one wanted a trip to the Emergency Room!
Man, that dog has some serious jaw power! The belt got pretty messed up, even though it was super thick. You could see these deep indentations where Max’s teeth clamped down. It wasn’t scientific or anything, but it definitely gave me a whole new respect for those dogs.
Afterward, I untied everything and checked out the damage. Like I said, the belt was seriously marked up. I took some pictures, just to kind of document the whole thing. It was a pretty interesting afternoon project, even if it was a little bit… unconventional.
I did learn my lesson. Dont mess with a Rottweiler’s bite. You don’t want to be on the wrong end of that power.
