Alright, let’s talk about these Ragdoll Mink cats. I ain’t no fancy cat expert, ya know, but I know what I see and what I hear from folks around. So, here’s the lowdown, as simple as I can make it.

Now, these Mink Ragdolls, they ain’t some newfangled breed. Nope. They been around since way back when that Ann Baker woman first started breedin’ these cats. It’s like a family line, ya see? They call ’em “Minks” ’cause their fur is so darn soft. Smoother than a regular Ragdoll, if you can believe it. Feels like one of them fancy mink stoles the rich ladies wear, or so I’ve heard.
So, what makes a Mink Ragdoll special? Well, for starters, their color is a bit different. They got this richer, deeper color, not so washed out like some of them other Ragdolls. And that fur, like I said, it’s somethin’ else. You just wanna pet ’em all day long. I tell ya, if I had one of these cats, I’d be sittin’ on the porch all day, just strokin’ its fur and sippin’ sweet tea.
- Mink Ragdoll Colors: They come in all sorts of colors, just like the regular Ragdolls. But the Mink colors are just…more, ya know? More vibrant, more…alive. I ain’t good with fancy words, but you get the picture.
- Mink Ragdoll Temperament: Now, these cats are sweet as pie. Just like all Ragdolls, they’re gentle and laid-back. They love to cuddle and follow you around like a little shadow. They ain’t gonna be climbin’ the curtains or tearin’ up the furniture, that’s for sure.
- Mink Ragdoll vs. Traditional Ragdoll: This is where it gets a little tricky. See, some folks say the Minks are better, some say they’re just different. The main thing is that fur and the color. Minks got that real soft fur and the deeper color. But both kinds are sweet and lovable, that’s for sure.
Now, I heard tell that the rarest color for a Ragdoll is cream. Can you imagine that? A cream-colored cat. Sounds like somethin’ outta a fairy tale. But apparently, it’s true. Less than three outta a hundred Ragdolls are cream-colored. That’s pretty darn rare if you ask me. And I reckon a Cream Mink Ragdoll would be even rarer. Lordy, I’d love to see one of those.
So, where do these Mink Ragdolls come from? Well, like I said, they ain’t a new breed. Seems like somebody, somewhere along the line, bred a Ragdoll with another kind of cat. And that’s how you got these Minks. They got a lot of the Ragdoll qualities, but they also got that special somethin’ that makes ’em Minks.
Now, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ a Mink Ragdoll, you gotta do your homework. Find a good breeder, somebody who knows what they’re doin’. You don’t wanna end up with a sick kitty or a cat that ain’t what they say it is. And be prepared to pay a pretty penny. These cats ain’t cheap, ya know. But I reckon they’re worth it, if you got the money and the love to give ’em.
One more thing, I heard there’s a bit of a debate about whether Mink Ragdolls are “true” Ragdolls. Some folks say they ain’t, ’cause they got that other cat blood in ’em. But I say, who cares? If it looks like a Ragdoll and acts like a Ragdoll, then it’s a Ragdoll in my book. And these Minks are just as sweet and lovable as any other Ragdoll I ever seen.

So, there you have it. That’s all I know about Ragdoll Mink cats. They’re beautiful, they’re sweet, and they’re a little bit special. If you’re lucky enough to have one, you’re a lucky person indeed. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself a cup of tea.
