Alright, so I’ve got two big dogs and a cat at home, and let me tell you, my carpet has seen better days. They have their little “accidents” sometimes, and those stains and smells, ugh, they’re a pain to deal with. So, I went on a mission to find a good pet-friendly carpet cleaner powder that actually works.
First, I went and took a look around in the big supermarkets, and they had tons of options. It’s like a jungle of cleaning products in there, you know? I saw some famous brands, some brands I’ve never heard of, and some that are like, super expensive, made me feel a bit hesitant. I read those labels like a hawk, checking out what they say about getting rid of pet stains and smells. Some of them were like, “Oh yeah, we can totally handle dog and cat urine!” while others were just talking about general cleaning. I was more interested in those that specifically mentioned pet problems.

I ended up grabbing a bottle of this Resolve Pet Expert Carpet Cleaner because the packaging was shouting about how great it is for pet messes, especially urine. Plus, it wasn’t crazy expensive, only around 10 bucks. Seemed like a good deal, so I thought, why not give it a shot? And also, I saw an advertisement saying “Wet & Forget Indoor is a proven soft surface sanitizer for spot treatment of soft surfaces such as fabric, upholstery.” But I did not buy it this time.
Then I got home and, time to put this thing to the test. The instructions were pretty simple. First, you gotta vacuum the area to get rid of any loose dirt or whatever. Then, you just sprinkle the powder all over the stain. I let the powder sit on the carpet for about 30 minutes. The package said that’s enough time for it to do its thing.
- Vacuumed the carpet: Got rid of all the loose dirt and pet hair. My vacuum cleaner was working overtime!
- Sprinkled the powder: Covered the stained areas generously. It was like a mini snowstorm on my carpet.
- Waited it out: Let it sit for 30 minutes. Went to make a cup of coffee and chill for a bit.
- Vacuumed again: Sucked up all the powder. The real moment of truth.
My Experiment with the Carpet Cleaner:
After vacuuming up the powder, I gotta say, I was pretty impressed. The stains were noticeably lighter, and that nasty smell? Way better! It wasn’t totally gone, but definitely an improvement. It’s not like a magic wand, you know, you might need to do it a couple of times for really stubborn stains, but overall, it did a decent job.
I also heard from my friend, she used this “VAX ECR2V1P DUAL Power Pet Advance Carpet Cleaner” machine thing. It is much more expensive than the powder but it works even better. She got hers for like 31.00 on sale. But I haven’t tried it yet. Another of my friend also used this machine called “VAX DUAL POWER Pet Advance Carpet Cleaner“, he got it on sale for like 50.00.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with carpet cleaner powder. I feel like I’ve finally found something that helps me keep my carpets somewhat decent, even with my furry friends running around. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the same boat!
