Okay, so, I’ve been thinking about getting a Siamese cat for a while now. They’re just so beautiful and elegant, and I’ve heard they’re really affectionate. But, I wanted to do it right, you know? So, I started my hunt for a “siamese cat breeder near me.”
First, I spent some time searching online for breeders. I checked a few online resources, you know, the usual places where people talk about pets and stuff. It took me about a day to actually get my hands on some information about breeders. I figured there might be some communities or forums where people shared their experiences with local breeders.

I also looked at some websites for local animal shelters. But sometimes the information online is old, and they don’t really have what you want. I gave them a call just to double check, you know?
And then, I found a couple of breeders that looked promising from the online stuff. One was like, super fancy and had all these pedigreed cats with long, impressive-sounding names. The prices were pretty high, like in the thousands. I was not going to pay that much for it. But, I called them anyway just to get a feel for what they were like, I mean you can’t know if you don’t ask. They were nice enough, but it all felt a bit too formal for me, and they didn’t really have any kittens at that time.
Then I came across another breeder’s page, and this one seemed more down-to-earth. It looked like they cared a lot about the cats and treated them like family. The prices were more reasonable, too, around a few hundred bucks. I sent them an email, and the lady got back to me pretty quick. We chatted a bit, and she sent me some pictures of these adorable little kittens. Oh my god, they were so cute!
I decided to go visit them last weekend. The place was clean and cozy, and all the cats looked really happy and healthy. They were all black and looked the same! The breeder lady was super friendly, and we talked for ages about Siamese cats. She told me all about their personalities and how to take care of them. She said that all black siamese cats are actually called “seal point siamese”, and that they are very affectionate and love cuddling up. I got to play with the kittens, and they were just the sweetest things ever. I fell in love with this one little guy, he was so playful and cuddly.
So, yeah, I put down a deposit, and I’m picking him up next week! I’m so excited, I’ve already bought a bunch of toys and a comfy bed for him. I’m gonna call him “Shadow” because he has a cool black fur. Can’t wait to bring my little buddy home!
- Online is good, but local is better. You can find information online, but actually calling and visiting places helps a lot.
- Fancy isn’t always best. Some breeders are really expensive, but it doesn’t always mean they’re better. Look for people who really care about their cats.
- Talk to the breeder. Ask lots of questions! A good breeder will be happy to share their knowledge and make sure you’re a good fit for one of their kittens.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. Find a breeder you feel comfortable with.
- It may cost more than you expect. Getting a cat from a breeder is expensive, it can be between 500 and 2800 dollars.
