Well, let me tell ya ’bout these mitted ragdoll cats, ya know, the ones with the little white paws like they dipped ’em in milk. I ain’t no expert, but I seen a few, and they sure are somethin’ else.

First off, what’s a mitted ragdoll cat anyway? It’s just a fancy name for a cat with white paws, see? Like they’re wearin’ little mittens. And their chins are white too, like they just finished drinkin’ a big glass of milk. They got other colors too, on their face, ears, tail, and paws. Some are kinda grayish blue, some are dark brown, almost black lookin’, and some got a creamy color, like coffee with lots of cream.

Mitted Ragdoll Cats: Gentle Giants with a Unique Look
  • Blue Lynx Mitted Ragdoll: This one’s got a silvery-blue body. And the points, that’s the color on their ears, face, and tail, are a darker blue. Real pretty, if you ask me.
  • Seal Mitted Ragdoll: These fellas are darker, with a dark brown, almost black color on their points. They look a bit like little bears, but way fluffier.
  • Chocolate Mitted Ragdoll: This one is a lighter brown, like milk chocolate. Sweet lookin’, just like the name says.

Now, why are these ragdoll cats so darn expensive? Well, that’s what everyone’s always yappin’ about. Folks say it’s ’cause they ain’t been around for that long, you know, they’re a newer kind of cat. And everyone wants one, so the price goes up. Supply and demand, they call it. Sounds fancy, but it just means if lots of folks want somethin’, and there ain’t that many of ’em, well, you gotta pay more to get one. Simple as that.

What’s so special about ’em, besides the price? Well, they’re big, fluffy fellas, real gentle-like. They ain’t the jumpin’ and climbin’ type, more like the lay-around-and-get-petted type. They follow ya around like little shadows, always wantin’ to be near ya. Some folks say they’re like dogs, always greetin’ ya at the door and wantin’ attention. I don’t know about that, but they sure are friendly.

Taking care of these cats ain’t too hard, but it ain’t like takin’ care of a barn cat neither. Their fur is long and fluffy, so ya gotta brush ’em regular, otherwise it gets all knotted up. And they shed, oh boy, do they shed! You’ll be findin’ cat hair everywhere, in your food, in your clothes, even in your coffee if you ain’t careful. And because they ain’t got no brains about bein’ outside alone, they are strictly indoor cats, unless you got a harness and leash and want to take them for a walk or have a catio for them to safely enjoy some sunshine and fresh air. But it’s worth it, though, ’cause they’re so darn sweet and cuddly.

So, you thinkin’ ’bout gettin’ a mitted ragdoll cat? Well, do your homework first. Find a good breeder, someone who knows what they’re doin’. Don’t just go buyin’ a cat from anyone. And be prepared to spend some money, ’cause like I said, they ain’t cheap. And be prepared to have a cat hair everywhere but also be prepared to have a friend for life, the sweetest, cuddliest friend you could ever ask for.

Are they really worth all the fuss? Well, that depends on you, I reckon. If you want a cat that’s gonna be your best buddy, always there to keep ya company, then yeah, maybe they are. But if you want a cat that’s gonna catch mice and keep to itself, well, then maybe you should look elsewhere. Mitted ragdoll cats are special, they need a lot of love and attention, but they give it back tenfold.

And remember, no matter what kind of cat you get, it’s a big responsibility. You gotta feed ’em, water ’em, keep ’em clean, and take ’em to the vet when they’re sick. It ain’t somethin’ to be taken lightly. A cat ain’t just somethin’ you own and keep in your house, a cat is family, and you need to treat them like you would treat any other family member.

Anyways, that’s all I know ‘bout these mitted ragdoll cats. Hope it helped ya some.
