Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience with Taliaferro Kennel, hope you enjoy it!
So, I’ve been thinking about getting a puppy for a while now. You know, a little furry friend to keep me company. I did a bunch of searching online, looking at different breeders and stuff. I really wanted to make sure I found a place that treated their dogs right. Finally, I came across this place called Taliaferro Kennel. They breed a few different kinds of dogs, like Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, French Bulldogs, and these little guys called Papillons.

First, I spent a lot of time on their page, just looking at all the puppy pictures. They were all so cute! I noticed the person who runs the place is named Angelia Taliaferro-Vaia, and they’re located somewhere in Youngstown. That’s all the info I could gather, but I’m not a detail-oriented guy, anyway. All that matters is getting myself a cute little puppy.
They seemed pretty active online, sharing stuff with the public and all. I saw that they had like 257 likes and some people talking about them, so that seemed like a good sign. It gave me some confidence that they’re a decent breeder, not some shady puppy mill. I read somewhere online that puppy mills are not good places, so I was being careful.
My Favorite Breed
- Shihpoo
Then I dug a little deeper and found some posts about specific puppies. There was this one, a Shihpoo, which is a mix between a Shih Tzu and a mini Poodle. This little guy, Copper, was 18 weeks old and ready for a new home. They said his parents were small, only 10 and 13 pounds, and that he had been checked by a vet. Seemed healthy, but I was interested in the Papillons.
I saw they also had some Papillon puppies available, all males. I thought it was a good idea to take one home, but I’d have to wait until it’s at least four months old, as this is the minimum age for them to be boarded in a kennel.
Anyway, I’m still on the fence about which breed to get. They all sound pretty great. But I’m definitely leaning towards one of the breeds from Taliaferro Kennel. They seem like they know what they’re doing and they really care about their dogs. I just have to make up my mind, then I will call them and see how it goes.
It is not an easy task to choose a puppy. I think I need more time to make a final decision. I’ll probably go check them out in person sometime soon. Maybe even this weekend.
