Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole thing with Cornish Rex cats. I’ve been thinking about getting a cat, you know, something fluffy and cuddly to keep me company. I did some digging around and stumbled upon this breed called the Cornish Rex. Apparently, they’re these super cool cats with curly fur and big ears. I got pretty excited and thought, “Maybe I should look into getting one of these guys from a cattery?”
So, I started doing some research. I mean, I really dove into this whole Cornish Rex world. Found out that there are breeders, these “catteries,” where they raise these cats. I figured, okay, this is something to seriously consider. I started looking for information about these catteries. I guess this is a special kind of cat and I wanna make sure I can provide enough care for it.

I spent days looking into it, checking what others had said. Some people said you could breed Cornish Rexes with other cats, like Plymouth Rocks, and get some interesting mixes. That sounded pretty wild to me! But others also mentioned that these cats require a lot of care and attention.
I even found this website, like an online dictionary for the Cornish language. It was all in this Standard Written Form, which was interesting but I didn’t learn any of it. It’s cool that Cornwall Council recognizes the language, I guess it is related to the cat and they must like it a lot. Some people are talking about the Cornish dialect, saying it’s this old Celtic language, related to Welsh and stuff. I had no idea, it’s all so new to me.
I also saw some posts about finding ancestors in some old census records, from 1841 to 1911. I was curious about the history of this cat breed and thought maybe there’s some connection there. I also saw ads about some courses called “2B Ready,” but I have no idea what that’s about. It didn’t seem related to the cats, so I just kinda skipped over that part.
After all this digging, I realized that getting a Cornish Rex from a cattery is a big decision. It’s not just about finding a cute cat, but also about understanding their history, their language (well, not really), and making sure you can give them the right home. It’s a whole process, you know? And honestly, I’m still not 100% sure if I’m ready for it. Maybe I should just stick with browsing cat pictures for now.
