Okay, so I’ve been trying out this cedarific cat litter lately, and I gotta say, it’s been quite the experience. I mean, who would’ve thought that cat litter could be something to write home about, right?

It all started when I was strolling through the pet store, looking for the usual stuff for my furry friend, Mittens. That’s when this bag of cedarific cat litter caught my eye. The packaging was all-natural looking, and it boasted about being eco-friendly and made from cedarwood shavings. Now, I’m not the most environmentally conscious person, but I do appreciate something that’s good for the planet and smells nice, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

Is cedarific cat litter worth the price? See this honest review and our final verdict!

The first thing I did when I got home was open the bag. A wave of that natural cedar scent hit me, and let me tell you, it was way better than that usual artificial, chemical smell you get with some other litters. It felt like bringing a little bit of the outdoors inside, you know? I eagerly replaced Mittens’ old litter with this new cedarific stuff, I even made sure to mix it in a little so she wouldn’t be too thrown off.

Then came the real test – waiting to see how Mittens would react. She cautiously approached the litter box, sniffed around a bit, and then proceeded to do her business as usual. Success! She took it without a problem. Over the next few days, I noticed a few things. The litter was super lightweight, which made scooping a breeze. And it really did absorb odors like a champ. I was surprised by how well it trapped the smell, and the cedar scent was a nice bonus.

  • Lightweight: Made scooping feel like lifting air.
  • Absorbs Odors: My place stayed fresh as a daisy, no joke.
  • Natural Cedar Scent: Way better than those chemical smells of other litters.
  • Dust-Free: No more coughing fits every time I refill the litter box.

But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Mittens, being the diva she is, seemed to have a little trouble adjusting to the texture at first. It’s softer than the clay litter she was used to, so she’d occasionally track some of it out of the box. But after a couple of days, she got the hang of it, and the tracking became less of an issue. One other thing I did was keep a closer eye on the litter box. Since it’s made of natural wood fibers, it seemed to absorb moisture a little differently. I found myself scooping more frequently to keep things tidy, but that cedarific cat litter was totally worth it.

Overall, I’d say this cedarific cat litter experiment was a win. It’s definitely a more pleasant experience than dealing with regular clay litter, both for me and for Mittens. Plus, it’s biodegradable, which makes me feel a little better about my impact on the environment. Sure, there were a few minor hiccups, but the pros far outweigh the cons. If you’re looking for a natural, eco-friendly, and good-smelling litter option, I’d definitely recommend giving cedarific cat litter a try. You and your feline friend might just be pleasantly surprised!
