Another thing about Bulldogs is they ain’t the healthiest breed out there. Poor things got a lot of health problems, what with their short noses and big ol’ bodies. It ain’t their fault, that’s just how they were bred. But you gotta take care of ‘em, get ’em to the vet for their check-ups, and make sure they ain’t gettin’ too heavy. They might not be the fastest, but they sure do need the right care to keep ‘em goin’ strong.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ Bulldogs are the smartest dogs on the block. They ain’t. But they got something that’s just as important: loyalty. They’ll stick by your side no matter what, and they’re good for folks who want a dog to just hang out with, not one that’s always runnin’ around fetchin’ sticks or doin’ tricks. Bulldogs are content just bein’ with you, sittin’ there and watchin’ the world go by.
So, how smart are Bulldogs, really? Well, they ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but they’re smarter than folks give ‘em credit for. They may not be first in line when it comes to learnin’ new tricks, but they’re loyal, lovable, and they’ll do anything for their people, as long as you show ‘em a little patience.
