So, the other day, I realized we were running low on dog food again. Seems like that bag empties faster every time, you know? Anyway, my go-to spot is Poudre Pet and Feed, always liked their selection and the folks there.
But things add up, right? So I thought, maybe I can find a coupon this time around. Save a little cash where I can. Didn’t really know where to start, honestly.

My Hunt Begins
First thing I did was just check the usual places. I sifted through that pile of mail we all get, you know, the flyers and ads. Sometimes you find a gem in there. No luck this time, though. Just pizza deals and stuff.
Then, I figured I’d look online. Didn’t want to spend ages searching, but I typed in something like “Poudre Pet and Feed discount” or “coupon” into the search bar. Scrolled through a few results. A lot of junk sites came up, didn’t look quite right, so I skipped those.
I remembered maybe I signed up for their email newsletter thing a while back. So, I searched my inbox. Took a bit of digging through the promotions tab, but guess what? Tucked away was an email from them from last week!
Success and the Store Trip
Bingo! Right there in the email was a little coupon offer. Wasn’t huge, but hey, savings are savings. It was like 5 bucks off a big bag of food, which is exactly what I needed.
Felt pretty pleased with myself. I made sure I could just show the email on my phone at the checkout, didn’t need to print anything, which was handy.
So, later that afternoon, I drove over to Poudre Pet and Feed. Went in, grabbed the usual big bag of kibble for my furry friend, and picked up a couple of chew toys while I was at it. Can’t resist those.
- Got the big bag of dog food.
- Added a couple of new toys.
- Headed to the checkout counter.
Using the Coupon
Got to the register, put my stuff down. When the cashier scanned the food, I pulled up the email on my phone and said, “Hey, I’ve got this coupon here.”
She glanced at it, typed something into her computer, scanned the barcode from my phone screen, and boom. Easy peasy. The discount showed up right on the little screen. No fuss, no hassle.
Paid the bill, saved that $5. Felt pretty good walking out. It wasn’t a lottery win, but it made the trip feel a bit more rewarding. Just goes to show, taking a few minutes to look for those deals before you shop can actually pay off. Definitely going to keep an eye on their emails from now on.
