Alright, so, I’ve been wanting to get a German Shepherd puppy for a while now. I live in Missouri, and I finally decided to take the plunge and start looking. Here’s how it all went down.
First thing I did was hop on my computer and start searching. I typed in something like “German Shepherd puppies for sale in Missouri,” just to see what would pop up. There were a bunch of websites, but I was mainly looking for ones that seemed legit, you know? Like, I didn’t want to get scammed or end up with a puppy from some shady puppy mill.
I found a few sites that looked promising. They had listings from different breeders, with pictures of the puppies and information about their parents. I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through all the listings, trying to get a feel for what was out there. There were so many cute puppies, it was hard to choose!
- I decided to focus on breeders who were registered with the AKC. I figured that was a good sign that they were reputable and cared about the health and well-being of their dogs.

After narrowing it down to a few breeders, I started reaching out to them. I sent emails and made phone calls, asking questions about the puppies, their parents, and the breeders’ practices. I wanted to make sure I was getting a healthy puppy from someone who knew what they were doing.
Contacting Breeders and Visiting
I ended up visiting a couple of breeders in person. It was a bit of a drive, but it was worth it to see the puppies and meet the breeders face-to-face. I got to play with the puppies, see their living conditions, and ask more questions. It was a really fun experience, but also a bit overwhelming.
Finally, I made my decision. I chose a beautiful little male puppy from a breeder I felt really comfortable with. He had a thick, healthy coat, and he seemed to have a great temperament. I was so excited to bring him home!
Bringing My Puppy Home
Bringing my new puppy home was a big moment. I had already puppy-proofed my house, bought all the supplies he would need, and set up a cozy little spot for him. It was a bit of an adjustment at first, but we quickly settled into a routine.
The first few weeks were all about getting to know each other, house training, and starting basic obedience training. It was a lot of work, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I loved watching my puppy grow and learn, and I felt a strong bond forming between us.
Now, my German Shepherd puppy is a big part of my life. He’s my loyal companion, my walking buddy, and my furry friend. He brings so much joy into my life, and I can’t imagine being without him. Getting a German Shepherd puppy was definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I found a great friend that makes me happy.
