Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a Blue Point Siamese cat for a while now. They’re just so gorgeous! So, I finally decided to take the plunge and really start looking into breeders. Here’s how it went down:
The Initial Search
First, I just started Googling. You know, “Blue Point Siamese cat breeders” and stuff like that. I got a bunch of results, but it was kinda overwhelming. Lots of websites, some looked pretty sketchy, others were like, super professional.
Digging Deeper
I realized I needed to be a bit more systematic. So, I made a list of things I wanted in a breeder. I wanted someone:
- Reputable: Obviously, I didn’t want to support any shady operations.
- Experienced: Someone who really knew Siamese cats, specifically Blue Points.
- Caring: I wanted a breeder who genuinely cared about the cats’ well-being, not just making money.
With that list, I started going through the websites again, really reading the “About Us” sections and looking for any red flags. I also started checking out forums and online communities for cat lovers. People were sharing their experiences with different breeders, which was super helpful.
Making Contact
I narrowed it down to a few breeders that seemed promising. I sent them emails, asking some basic questions: How long they’d been breeding, what their health guarantees were, stuff like that. Some never replied, which was an immediate no. Others were really responsive and friendly, which was a good sign.
The Visits (or Virtual Visits)
With one breeder I really liked. We were chating and all the pictures were so cute, which is so exciting!
Making the Decision
It is not a easy decision. I did more research on cat care. And I asked my friend and family what they thought about it.
Success
After a couple of weeks waiting, Finally, I got the message, and she told me that I was approved. I am so happy about it. I think it goes well. Fingers crossed!
