Well, let me tell you, these famous Siamese cats, they’re somethin’ else. I heard about ’em, you know. Fancy cats, they are. Always in the pictures. Lots of folks like ’em, that’s for sure. They got them blue eyes, like lookin’ at the sky after a rain.
They come from a place called Siam, used to be called that, anyway. Now it’s Thailand, I hear. Far, far away. Back in the old days, long time ago, 1800s, these kitties were special, they say. Only special folks had them, like them kings and queens. These cats, they’re old, older than my old boots, I reckon.

One of ’em, Wong Mau, that’s a funny name, ain’t it? Wong Mau, from a place called Burma, way back in the 1930s. They say this one cat started a whole bunch of other cats. Like plantin’ a seed and gettin’ a whole field of corn. That’s how that worked, I guess. That one, the mother of ’em all, that’s what they called her.
And you know what? Famous folks, movie stars and such, they love these Siamese cats. Audrey Hepburn, that pretty lady, she had one. Even the Queen, the real one, Queen Elizabeth, she’s got ’em too. Can you believe that? These cats, livin’ the high life.
Gone With the Wind, that movie, remember? Clark Gable, a handsome fella, and Vivian Leigh, and that Evelyn Keyes, they all had them Siamese cats. Each one of ’em! Even Sophia Loren, that Italian lady, she had one, loved to cuddle it. Said it made her laugh, ’cause the cat’s eyes were a little crossed, like it was lookin’ at its own nose!
- Them cats are smart, they say.
- Like to talk your ear off.
- They got a loud meow, like a baby cryin’.
- They stick to you like glue, pick one person and that’s it.
There was a song, too, a Disney song. Lady and the Tramp, that’s the one. Two of them Siamese cats singin’ and causin’ trouble. “We Are Siamese,” that’s what they sang, making a mess everywhere. Like two little devils, that’s what they were.
Folks call ’em Meezers, like a nickname. ‘Cause of that loud meow they got, sounds like they’re sayin’ “mee, mee, mee.” Like they’re complainin’ about somethin’. Always got somethin’ to say, these cats.
They say these Siamese cats, they’re like the life of the party. Always want to be where the action is. Nosy little things, stickin’ their noses in everything. But people love ’em. They just have a way, you know? Like a little charm.
They ain’t like regular cats, no sir. These are special. Got that sleek fur, them pointy ears, and them bright blue eyes. Like lookin’ at a piece of the sky, I tell ya. People just fall in love with ’em.

I heard they like to talk. Meow and meow. Like they got so much to say. And they like to be with their people. Not like some cats that just want to be left alone. These ones, they want to be right in the middle of everything. They are famous Siamese cats for a reason, you know?
I reckon it’s their personality that gets people. They’re friendly, and playful. Like little kids, always gettin’ into somethin’. And they love their people, that’s for sure. They’ll follow you around, rubbin’ against your legs, purrin’ up a storm.
So, these famous Siamese cats, they’re somethin’ special, alright. Been around a long time, and I reckon they’ll be around a lot longer. People just can’t get enough of ’em. And I can see why. They got that special somethin’, that’s for sure. They are just too cute, you know?
