Alright, so I’ve been thinking about getting a corgi puppy for a while now. They’re just so darn cute, and I’ve heard they’re super friendly. So I started looking into it, specifically in North Carolina, ’cause that’s where I am.
First thing I did was search for “corgi puppies nc”. That led me to a bunch of different breeders and places. There are two types of corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgi and Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I wasn’t really sure which one I wanted, so I started looking at both.

My Research Journey
I dug deeper, you know? Found out that corgis are social butterflies. They love being around people and other dogs. Makes sense, right? It got me thinking, maybe I should consider getting two so they can keep each other company when I’m not around. But then I thought about things like exercise, grooming, you know all the work it took to raise a dog.
I started looking into specific breeders.
- Farm Pups North Carolina: This place sounded pretty legit. It’s owned by someone named Heather Moore. Seems like they really care about their dogs. I read that they try to give them a perfect home.
- Lucky Penny Corgis: They had one puppy available when I looked. I read through their website and they also emphasized giving pups a well-rounded personality. Sounds promising!
Then I found a website that introduced the parents of the puppies, which I thought was cool. You could tell they put a lot of effort into making sure their dogs were healthy and happy. There are also many other options near Raleigh, which is good for me.
After all this searching, I’m leaning towards a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, but I’m still not 100% sure. I mean, they are all adorable! I also realized that getting a dog is a big commitment. And I was seriously thinking about getting two! It was not a small decision for me.
Anyway, that’s where I’m at right now. Still doing my research, trying to find the perfect little buddy. Or maybe two buddies! Who knows. It’s a journey, but it’s been fun so far. If you guys have any tips or advice, let me know!
