I tried things like “Corgi Great Dane mix, short legs, big body, happy face,” and “Great Dane Corgi hybrid, realistic, dog portrait.”
The biggest challenge? Getting the proportions right. Corgis are like furry little sausages, and Great Danes are basically horses. So blending those two is… tricky. I kept ending up with either super short Great Danes, or Corgis with giraffe necks. Neither was ideal.
Eventually, after a bunch of failed attempts, I started getting somewhere. I found that specifying “Corgi body, Great Dane head” sometimes worked. I also played around with phrases like “mix breed, showing the characteristics of both” which seemed to help.
I kept generating images, and then upscaling the ones I liked. Then I’d run those back through, trying to refine them even more. It’s a pretty iterative process, basically just keep tweaking and experimenting until you get something that doesn’t look totally terrifying.
Here’s a few of the things I learned:
