Alright, let’s talk about this cocker spaniel corgi mix dog, you know, the one them city folks are all gaga about. I seen a few pictures, cute little buggers, I gotta say.
Now, what do you call ’em… Pembroke Cocker Corgi, that’s it! Sounds fancy, but it’s just a mix of two dogs, a cocker spaniel and a corgi, plain and simple. My neighbor, old Mrs. Higgins, she had a cocker spaniel once. Sweetest thing, always lickin’ your hands and wiggling its butt. But Lord, that dog shed enough hair to stuff a whole mattress!

And they need walkin’. Can’t just let ‘em sit around the house all day, they get antsy, just like us old folks. Gotta keep ‘em movin’.
And health problems? Every dog’s got somethin’, ain’t that the truth? Just like us. My knees ache somethin’ awful in the winter. These cocker corgi mixes, they might have some problems too. But you just gotta take care of ‘em the best you can. Feed ‘em good, give ‘em water, and love ‘em. That’s all any creature needs, really.
I heard tell there’s other kinds of mixes too. Like, a cocker spaniel mixed with a poodle. They call ‘em cockerpoos. Sounds silly, don’t it? But folks say they look like teddy bears. Can you imagine? A dog lookin’ like a teddy bear. My grandbaby, she’d love that. She’s got a whole pile of them teddy bears on her bed.

Then there are Golden Corgis. That’s what happens when you mix them with a Golden Retriever. Supposed to be real good for families. Plenty big, plenty friendly. But big dogs mean big messes, if you ask me. I’d stick with somethin’ smaller. Easier to clean up after.

I’m happy with my chickens and my garden, but to each their own, I reckon.
