Okay, so I’ve been wanting a cat for like, forever, and I finally decided to get one! I did a bunch of looking around at different breeds, and you guys, I fell hard for the chocolate point Ragdoll. I mean, those blue eyes and that fluffy coat? Come on! So, here’s how the whole thing went down.
The Hunt Begins!
First, I spent hours, and I mean hours, scrolling through pictures online. Seriously, it was like a cuteness overload. I learned that chocolate points have these, like, milk chocolate-colored markings on their ears, face, paws, and tail. It’s so pretty against their lighter, creamy-colored fur.
I knew I wanted a kitten, because, duh, baby animals are the best. But I also wanted to make sure I was getting a healthy, happy kitty. That’s where things got a little tricky.
Finding My Furry Friend
I looked at a bunch of different breeders online. Some of them looked super fancy and professional, with websites and everything, and I contacted * after researching more, I want to make sure the kittens grow in a sweet home enviroment. So I started searching from some local Ragdoll cat owners’ home, and wish to find some info.
- I checked out a few local breeders that I found online and through, like, word-of-mouth recommendations.
- I made sure to visit the catteries (that’s the fancy word for where they breed the cats!) in person. It was important to see where the kittens were raised and how they interacted with their mom and siblings.
Finally,I visited a lady who lives nearby,her house is full of love,and kittens are so active.I chosed a little *’s got the sweetest little chocolate nose and the biggest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. He was a little shy at first, but after a few minutes, he was purring like a motor and climbing all over me.
Bringing Him Home
Bringing him home was so exciting! I made sure I had everything ready before he arrived. I am so exciting!
That first night was a little rough. He was understandably scared and confused in a new place. He hid under the bed for a while, but I just sat on the floor nearby and talked to him softly. Eventually, he crept out and let me pet him. Success!
Life with My Chocolate Point
It’s been a few weeks now, and honestly, it’s been the best. He’s the cuddliest, most playful little dude. He follows me everywhere, and he loves to curl up on my lap while I work or watch TV.
- He’s also a total goofball. He chases his tail, attacks his toys with gusto, and sometimes he just zooms around the apartment for no apparent reason. It’s hilarious.
He’s definitely added a whole lot of love and laughter to my life. Getting a chocolate point Ragdoll was 100% the right decision. If you’re thinking about getting one, I say go for it! Just be prepared for a whole lot of cuteness and cuddles. And maybe a little bit of mischief, too. 😉
