OK, let’s talk about Burmese cats. I’ve been thinking about getting a cat for a while now, and I’ve always been drawn to the Burmese breed. They’re just so beautiful and elegant, and I’ve heard they have great personalities too. So, I decided to take the plunge and start looking for a Burmese cattery.
First, I hit up Google. I typed in “Burmese cattery” and got a bunch of results. I spent a good few hours going through different websites, reading about the breeders and looking at pictures of their cats. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. There are so many catteries out there, and it’s hard to know which ones are reputable.

After doing some more research, I narrowed down my list to a few catteries that seemed promising. They had good reviews, and their websites looked professional. I also made sure they were registered with a reputable cat association, like the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) or The International Cat Association (TICA). That was important to me.
Then, I started contacting the breeders. I sent emails and made phone calls, asking about their cats and their breeding practices. I wanted to make sure they were breeding healthy and well-socialized kittens. I also asked about their health guarantees and their policies on returning kittens if things didn’t work out.
- Sent emails to catteries.
- Made phone calls to breeders.
- Asked about breeding practices.
- Inquired about health guarantees.
I visited a couple of catteries in person. That was a really good experience. I got to meet the cats and see the conditions they were living in. I also got to talk to the breeders in person and get a feel for their personalities. Honestly, I was a bit nervous at first, but everyone I met was really friendly and helpful.
Making the Decision
Finally, after weeks of research and visits, I made my decision. I chose a cattery that I felt really comfortable with. The breeder was knowledgeable and passionate about her cats, and the kittens were just adorable. I put down a deposit on a beautiful little chocolate Burmese kitten, and I couldn’t wait to bring her home.
The whole process took a lot longer than I expected, but it was definitely worth it. I learned so much about Burmese cats and about the importance of choosing a reputable breeder. And now, I have a wonderful new furry friend who brings so much joy to my life. This was really a good choice. Can’t wait to see her growing up.
