Boxie Cat Litter Review: Is It the Best Clay Litter Choice?

Well, let me tell ya ’bout this cat litter, the kind they call “Boxie Cat Litter”. I ain’t no fancy city gal, but I know a thing or two ’bout keeping things clean, ya know? We had cats on the farm my whole life, and lemme tell ya, keeping the stink down is a job in itself.

Now, this Boxie Cat Litter, they say it’s somethin’ special. Says it’s got the “Veterinarian Recommended” thing goin’ for it. And somethin’ ’bout an award too, the “Cat Fancy Editors’ Choice” or somethin’ like that. Sounds all highfalutin, but what it means to me is that maybe, just maybe, it’ll do the job better than that cheap stuff from the dollar store.

They say this here litter is made from clay, natural clay, mind you. Not that plastic stuff they try to sell ya these days. And this clay, they say it soaks up the pee real good. That’s important, let me tell ya. Nothin’ worse than a stinky cat box, ‘specially in the summer when it’s hot and sticky.

This Boxie stuff, they say it keeps the smell down good too. Odor control, they call it. Fancy words, but it just means it don’t stink so bad. And that’s a blessin’, believe you me. I remember havin’ to clean them old cat boxes, and the smell… Whew! Nearly knocked you over. But if this stuff works like they say, well, that’d be somethin’ wouldn’t it?

  • No Dust: They say this stuff don’t make much dust when you pour it or scoop it. That’s good, ’cause I hate breathin’ in that dusty stuff. Makes me cough somethin’ fierce.
  • Long Lastin’: Now, this is where it gets interestin’. They say one of them 16-pound bags lasts one cat a whole month! A whole month! And if you got two cats, you get the bigger bag, the 28-pounder, and that lasts you a month too. Now, that sounds like a good deal, ’cause I’m tellin’ ya, schleppin’ that heavy litter from the store ain’t no fun for an old woman like me.
  • “Extra Strength”: I seen some of this Boxie litter sayin’ “Extra Strength” on the bag. They say it’s made with somethin’ called “Bentonite clay” and it makes the clumps hard, real hard. That’s good, ’cause then they don’t fall apart when you’re scoopin’. Nothin’ worse than a crumbly cat mess, am I right?

They also say this litter is good for the cats, the humans, and the house. Well, I guess that makes sense. If the cats happy ’cause they got a clean box, and the humans ain’t chokin’ on dust and stink, and the house don’t smell like a barnyard, well, that’s a win-win-win, ain’t it?

Now, I ain’t tried this Boxie Cat Litter myself yet. I’m still usin’ up that cheap stuff I got on sale. But I’m thinkin’ ’bout givin’ it a try. If it does what they say, well, it might just be worth the extra few pennies. ‘Cause let me tell ya, a clean house and a happy cat, that’s worth more than all the money in the world.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a new cat litter, maybe give this Boxie stuff a shot. It might just be the thing you’ve been lookin’ for. And if it ain’t, well, you can always go back to the cheap stuff. But sometimes, ya know, you gotta try somethin’ new. You might just surprise yourself.

One more thing, they got different kinds of this Boxie litter. Some are scented, some ain’t. I don’t know about all them fancy smells. I just want somethin’ that works. But I guess it’s nice to have choices. So, go on, give it a try. What’s the worst that could happen? You end up with a cleaner cat box? That don’t sound so bad to me.
