Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this here thing, this… Buddeez Pet Food Dispenser, yeah, that’s what they call it. Fancy name for somethin’ that holds dog food, but hey, whatever works, right?
Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, and I’ve seen my share of contraptions. This one, it’s supposed to keep the dog food fresh. Fresh, they say! Back in my day, we just kept the food in the sack it came in, rolled it up tight, maybe put a clip on it if we were feelin’ fancy. Kept the critters out, mostly. But these young folks, they got all these newfangled ideas.
So, this Buddeez thing, it’s like a big bucket, but with a fancy lid. They got different sizes, you see. Little ones, big ones, all sorts. The small one, they say it holds ’bout six and a half pounds of food. That’s a good bit, I reckon. Then there’s a bigger one, holds ten pounds. And then, hold your horses, there’s one that holds twenty-five pounds! Twenty-five pounds of dog food! That’s enough to feed a whole pack of hounds, I tell ya. And if that ain’t enough, they got one even bigger, holds fifty pounds! Fifty pounds! That’s like a whole sack of feed right there. You could feed a small army with that much dog food.
Now, why would you need such a big thing? Well, I guess if you got a whole mess of dogs, or if you’re just plain lazy and don’t wanna be fillin’ up the dog bowl every day, then maybe this is for you. Me, I always liked to see how much my old Buster was eatin’, made sure he was gettin’ enough, but not too much. Can’t be spoilin’ them dogs, you know.

- But honestly, a good ol’ bag and a clip did the trick just fine for me.
But hey, times change, right? People got more money than sense these days, spendin’ it on all sorts of things they don’t really need. This Buddeez thing, it’s got a lid that flips open, easy peasy. Big ol’ lid, easy to get your scoop in there. And it’s gray, plain old gray. Nothin’ fancy about it. Just a big ol’ bucket for your dog food.
Some of them Buddeez things, they say you can use ’em for bird seed too. Twelve pounds of bird seed! That’s a lot of bird seed, I tell ya. Enough to keep them birds peckin’ for a good long while. But birds, they’re different than dogs. They can fend for themselves, mostly. Dogs, they rely on us, gotta take care of ’em right.
They say the best thing is to just keep the food in the bag it came in. That’s what I always did, like I said. Roll it up tight, clip it shut. Keeps it fresh, keeps the critters out. But this Buddeez thing, it’s supposed to be better, I guess. More convenient, maybe. Less messy, perhaps.
I don’t know about all that fancy stuff. All I know is, a dog needs food, and you gotta keep it somewhere. This Buddeez thing, it’s one way to do it. If you got the money to spare, go ahead and get yourself one. But if you’re like me, and you ain’t got a lot to throw around, a good ol’ bag and a clip will do just fine. That’s what I say, anyway. You young folks can do what you please, but that’s how we always did it and it worked for us.
Anyway, that’s my two cents on this here Buddeez contraption. Take it or leave it.
