Alright, so you wanna know about books ‘bout Siamese cats, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, those cats, they ain’t like no regular ol’ barn cats. They fancy, ya know? And folks like writin’ ‘bout fancy things.

What kind of books are we talkin’ about?
Well, there’s all sorts, I reckon. Some tell ya how to take care of ‘em. Like, what to feed ‘em, how to keep ‘em healthy, and all that jazz. You know, like those pamphlets the doctor gives ya, but for cats. They call ‘em “Siamese Cat Facts,” or somethin’ like that. They yap on about where to buy ‘em, how long they live, the different types, how to breed ‘em, and how to care for ‘em. Sounds like a whole lotta work to me, but some folks are into that kinda thing.
Then there’s story books. Like that one ‘bout that Skippyjon Jones. He’s a Siamese cat, but he thinks he’s a Chihuahua! Can ya believe it? A cat thinkin’ it’s a dog! Kids love that kinda stuff. There’s a bunch of books about him, apparently. “Skippyjon Jones in Mummy Trouble,” and just plain ol’ “Skippyjon Jones.” Judy Schachner, that’s the lady who writes ‘em. Must be makin’ a pretty penny off that cat.
- Taking Care of Your Siamese Cat: This kind tells you all about feeding, health, and stuff.
- Siamese Cat Stories: Like that Skippyjon Jones, a cat pretending to be a dog. Kids love it!
- Siamese Cat History: Where these cats came from and how they got so popular.
And I heard tell there’s books that just talk about Siamese cats in general. Like, how smart they are, and how they like to yap a lot. They call it “meezer,” that yappin’. And they stick to one person like glue, real loyal-like. But not everyone likes ‘em. They’re like that “Marmite” stuff, ya either love it or hate it. They say these cats are real extroverts, always wantin’ attention. Not like my ol’ Fluffy, she just sleeps all day.
Why do people write so much about these cats?
Beats me! I guess folks just find ‘em interestin’. They’re pretty, I’ll give ‘em that. And they got those blue eyes that stare right through ya. Kinda spooky, if ya ask me. And they say they’re real smart. Smarter than some folks I know, that’s for sure! Maybe that’s why Marge Naples wrote a book about ’em. They say she captures how special they are in her writin’. Makes it easy to read and understand.

Where can you find these books?
Well, I reckon you can find ‘em at the library, if you still got one of those in your town. Or at that big bookstore in the city. The one with the fancy coffee and all them chairs. Or, you know, you can order ‘em online. That’s what all the young folks do these days. Just tap-tap-tappin’ on them little phones. They say there’s a whole bunch of books. I even heard there’s up to 20 books just on the subject of Siamese Cats! Imagine that! All them words just about cats!
Are these books any good?
Well, that depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you wanna learn about takin’ care of a Siamese cat, then them “how-to” books are probably alright. And if you got kids, them Skippyjon Jones books are a hoot. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ deep and meaningful, well, maybe you should look elsewhere. These are just books about cats, after all. But hey, some folks love cats. More than people, sometimes. Can’t say I blame ‘em, people can be a real pain in the neck.
And don’t forget those movie cats, like in “Lady and the Tramp.” Them Siamese cats, Si and Am, they sing a song and everything! Always causin’ trouble, those two. Hidin’ in picnic baskets and such. Seems like Siamese cats are always gettin’ into somethin’, in books and in movies.
So, there you have it. A whole lotta words about Siamese cats. More than I ever thought I’d say, that’s for sure. But hey, if you’re into Siamese cats, then I guess it’s good to know there’s plenty of books out there for ya. Go on, now. Go read a book. Or pet a cat. Whatever makes ya happy.
