Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this place called Barnyard Vet & Pet Supply. My dog, Buster, needed some new flea meds, and I’d heard good things about their prices. So, I figured I’d give it a shot.
First, I grabbed my keys and Buster’s leash. He gets super excited anytime we go anywhere, so it was a bit of a struggle getting him into the car. Tail wags and happy barks all the way, though!
I drove over to the store, it’s a bit out of the way, but that is ok. I noticed they had a big parking lot, which was a plus. No circling around for a spot!
When I walked in, I was immediately hit by that “pet store smell” – you know, a mix of hay, dog food, and… well, animals. It wasn’t bad, just…distinct.
Getting Down to Business
- I found the flea and tick section pretty easily. They had a bunch of different brands, way more than the grocery store.
- I spent a good 10 minutes just reading labels, trying to figure out which one was best for Buster. He’s got sensitive skin, so I had to be careful.
- A staff member came over and asked if I needed help. She was super friendly and actually knew her stuff! She recommended a brand I hadn’t considered, and explained why it would be good for Buster’s skin.
I ended up grabbing the one she suggested, along with a new squeaky toy (because, of course, Buster deserved a treat). I also looked at some of the other things they had, that is a lot of supplies.
At the checkout, the cashier was also really nice. We chatted about dogs for a bit while she rang up my stuff.
All in all, it was a good experience! I got what I needed, Buster got a new toy, and I discovered a new place to get pet supplies. I’ll probably go back there again, especially since they were so helpful and the prices seemed decent. And I can recommend to my friends.
