You know, folks been askin’, are Siamese cats aggressive? Well, I ain’t no fancy cat expert, but I’ve seen a thing or two in my time. These Siamese cats, they got them pointy faces and them bright blue eyes that kinda stare right through ya. They’re somethin’ else, I tell ya.
Some folks say they’re mean. I reckon it depends on how you raise ’em, just like anythin’ else. If you don’t teach ’em right from when they’re little bitty kittens, they might get a bit ornery. Like, if they ain’t around other critters and people much, they get all protective of their space. They might hiss and swat at ya if you get too close. That’s what them fancy folks call “territorial”, I think.

- They need to be around other cats.
- They need to be around people.
- Even little kids, they gotta get used to them.
Now, these Siamese, they sure like to talk. They got this loud meow, kinda low and growly. Sounds like they’re tryin’ to have a whole conversation with ya. Some people call ’em “meezers” ’cause of that meow. And they don’t shut up! They’ll follow ya around the house, meowin’ and meowin’ like they’re tellin’ ya somethin’ important. If you ignore ’em, they might get a little sassy, like they’re scoldin’ ya. It’s like having a little, furry shadow that never stops complainin’.
Sometimes, they lick ya. Now, that might seem sweet, but it ain’t always that simple. I heard them cat people say it’s ’cause they think you’re part of their family, like a mama cat lickin’ her babies. They do that to other cats too, I guess. It’s how they show they like each other. It’s like how they clean each other or whatever. They call it “allogrooming”. Whatever that means. It makes them feel closer, like a family.
But sometimes, that lickin’ can turn into a nip. And that nip can turn into a bite. And before ya know it, you got a Siamese cat latched onto your arm like a furry little piranha. Are Siamese cats aggressive? Well, they can be, that’s for sure. Especially, I think when they are having those hormones. You know, like us womenfolk get sometimes. They get all moody. They say it’s because of their “hormones” are all messed up. Makes ’em a little crazy, I reckon.
And then there’s the times they get frustrated. These Siamese cats, they’re smart. They get bored easy. If they ain’t got enough to do, they start actin’ out. They might tear up your furniture, or knock things off the shelves, or just generally cause a ruckus. It’s like they’re sayin’, “Hey, pay attention to me! I’m bored outta my mind here!” They call it “redirected” somethin’. Like they are mad at one thing, but take it out on somethin’ else.
So, are Siamese cats aggressive? They can be. And how. They can scratch, they can bite. They can hiss. They can be real mean sometimes. It just depends. If they get bored, if they are lonely, if they don’t like you, well, they can be mean, mean, mean! It ain’t always easy to tell what’s goin’ on in their little heads. Those sharp blue eyes are always watchin’ you, that’s for sure. They got a look. A regal aura, whatever that means. They look fancy, that’s for sure. Fancy and maybe a little mean. It’s like they are always judging you.
I knew this one Siamese cat, lived down the street. Meanest cat I ever did see. Would hiss at ya just for lookin’ at it. Swat at your ankles if you walked by. One time, it even jumped on the mailman! Had to get stitches and everything. That cat was a menace, I tell ya.
But then there was another one, sweetest little thing you ever did meet. Loved to cuddle, loved to play. Purred like a motor. Followed you around like a little puppy dog. Never hissed, never bit. Just a big old love bug.

So, I guess what I’m sayin’ is, it just depends. These Siamese cats, they’re like people. Some are good, some are bad. You gotta get to know ’em before you judge ’em. And you gotta treat ’em right, or they might just turn on ya. Are Siamese cats aggressive? Maybe. But they can also be the sweetest, most lovin’ cats you ever did meet. Just gotta give ’em a chance. And maybe a good scratching behind the ears.
