Okay, so, I’ve been thinking about switching up my dog’s food lately. He’s been on the same stuff for a while, and I just feel like he could be doing better, you know? So, I started looking into different brands and that’s how I stumbled upon Earthborn Holistic. Seemed pretty decent from what I could gather online, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First thing I did was head over to the pet store. I wanted to actually see the bags, read the labels, and compare the different formulas they offer. They had a few varieties, like the “Coastal Catch” and the “Meadow Feast.” I spent a good chunk of time just standing there, reading the ingredients lists and trying to figure out which one would be best for my pup. It was a tough choice!

- Considered my dog’s needs: He’s pretty active, so I knew he needed a formula with enough calories and nutrients to keep up with him.

After much deliberation, I finally settled on the “Primitive Natural” formula. It seemed like a good all-around option, and the ingredients looked pretty solid. I grabbed a small bag, just to test it out, and headed home.
Introducing the new food was a whole other process. I didn’t want to just switch him over cold turkey, you know? So, I started mixing a little bit of the Earthborn in with his old food. Gradually, over a week or so, I increased the amount of Earthborn and decreased the old food until he was fully transitioned.
Honestly, it took some time for him to get used to it. I think he loved his old food a little too much. But eventually, he started gobbling down the Earthborn like a champ. Now he’s been on it for about a month. And you know what? I’ve actually noticed a difference!
The Results
His coat looks shinier, he seems to have more energy, and his, uh, “output” is definitely more consistent. Overall, I think he just seems healthier and happier. It’s like, he’s a different dog almost! I’m pretty happy I made the switch. I just finished that small bag and went back to get a large one. I think we will be sticking with it for the long run! I might try the other formulas from this brand. We will see!
