Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a dog for a while now, and I’ve always loved the look of Siberian Huskies. I mean, those eyes, that fluffy coat… gorgeous! But I also know they’re a lot of work, so I wanted to do my research before taking the plunge. Today, I started looking into finding an adult Siberian Husky for sale.
Starting the Search
First, I opened up my trusty laptop and fired up the web browser. I started my searching and try to find the right one. I figured going for an adult dog might be a better fit for me since puppies are, well, puppies! They need constant attention, training, and potty breaks. An adult dog, especially one that’s already house-trained, might be a bit easier to handle.

Digging Deeper
I was getting a lot, I mean, a lot of results. So, I refined my search.
It’s overwhelming! There’s a lot to consider, like the dog’s history, temperament, and health. And, sadly, there are also a lot of not-so-great breeders out there, so I knew I had to be extra careful.
Making a List, Checking it Twice
I started making a list of things I really wanted to know before even contacting anyone about a dog:
- Age: How old is the dog, really?
- Health: Any known health problems? Have they been to the vet recently?
- Temperament: Are they good with kids? Other dogs? Cats? (I don’t have kids or other pets yet, but you never know!)
- Reason for Sale: Why are they being re-homed? This is a big one. Sometimes it’s just a change in circumstances, but it’s good to know.
- Training: Are they house-trained? Do they know any basic commands?
Next Steps
I haven’t actually contacted anyone yet. I want to keep doing some more research on Siberian Husky-specific rescues. It feels good to be thorough, and I want to make sure I’m really ready for this. It’s a big decision, and I want to do it right! I will continue find my siberian husky.
