Alright, alright, let’s talk about these Ragdoll cats, you know, the fluffy ones. I heard some folks callin’ ’em “kinds of Ragdoll cats”, so that’s what we’ll call it too. I ain’t no fancy cat expert, but I’ve seen a few, and they’re somethin’ else, I tell ya.
What are these Ragdolls anyway?

Well, from what I gather, these Ragdolls ain’t just any old cats. They’re big, real big, and fluffy like a cotton ball. And their eyes, oh my, they’re blue, like the sky on a clear day. Some folks say they’re real gentle, like a floppy doll, hence the name “Ragdoll”, I guess. Makes sense to me.
- Big and Fluffy: These cats ain’t small, no sir. They’re big and heavy, and their fur is long and soft. You could get lost in that fur, I tell ya.
- Blue Eyes: Every Ragdoll I ever seen had these bright blue eyes. They’re somethin’ special, real pretty.
- Gentle Giants: They say these cats are real calm and laid-back. Not like them jumpy, scratchy ones you see sometimes.
Now, I hear there’s different kinds of Ragdoll cats, even though they all look kinda similar to me. It’s all got to do with their colors and patterns, like some got darker faces and paws, and some got stripes, kinda like a raccoon, but not really.
The Colorpoint Ragdoll:
This one, they tell me, has a lighter body and darker points, like the ears, face, paws, and tail. It’s like they dipped their feet and face in paint, ha! I’ve seen ’em in different colors too, like a creamy color, or a greyish color, even a kinda chocolate color. They’re all pretty, I reckon.
The Mitted Ragdoll:
Now these ones, they got the same color points, but they also got white paws, like they’re wearin’ little mittens. Ain’t that cute? And they got a white chin too, like they just drank a glass of milk. Real adorable, if you ask me.
The Bicolor Ragdoll:

These Ragdolls, they got an upside-down “V” on their face, a white “V” that is. And their legs and belly are mostly white too. They look kinda like they’re wearin’ a mask, those sneaky little things. But they’re still gentle, they say.
The Tabby Ragdoll:
Alright, this is where it gets a bit tricky, even for an old gal like me. These Tabby Ragdolls, they got stripes, kinda like I said before. But the stripes ain’t always easy to see, especially on the long-haired ones. You gotta look close. They got the M on their forehead too, just like other tabby cats. I guess that’s how you tell ‘em apart.
Taking Care of a Ragdoll:
Now, I don’t know much about fancy cat care, but I reckon these Ragdolls need some lookin’ after, what with all that fur. You probably gotta brush ‘em regular, so they don’t get all matted up. And they probably like to eat, bein’ so big and all. And playin’ too, even if they are gentle. All cats like to play, I think. Gotta keep ‘em entertained, or they’ll start scratchin’ your furniture, that’s for sure.
Why folks like Ragdolls so much?
Well, I reckon it’s because they’re pretty and they’re gentle. Who wouldn’t want a big, fluffy cat that just wants to cuddle? They’re good with kids too, I hear. Not like them grumpy old cats that hiss at everything. These Ragdolls are just sweet, that’s what they are. And those blue eyes, can’t forget those blue eyes. They’re like lookin’ into a little piece of heaven, I tell ya.

So, that’s about all I know about the kinds of Ragdoll cats. They’re big, they’re fluffy, they’re gentle, and they got them pretty blue eyes. If you’re lookin’ for a sweet and cuddly cat, a Ragdoll might just be the one for you. Just make sure you got room for ‘em, ‘cause they ain’t small, and be ready to brush ‘em a lot. That fur gets everywhere, trust me.
And remember, whether it’s a Colorpoint, a Mitted, a Bicolor, or a Tabby, a Ragdoll is a Ragdoll. They’re all special in their own way, just like us folks. Now go on, and find yourself a nice fluffy Ragdoll, if that’s what your heart desires. Just don’t blame me if it sheds all over your house, ha!
