Okay, so I’ve been meaning to switch up my cat’s food for a while now. He’s been getting kinda chunky, and I figured it was time for a change. I kept seeing ads for this “CatPerson” cat food, and honestly, the packaging looked pretty sleek. So, I decided to give it a shot. Here’s how it went down:
The Unboxing
First off, the box arrived, and it was heavy. Like, surprisingly heavy for cat food. I wrestled it inside and sliced it open. Inside, there was a bunch of different stuff – wet food, dry food, even some little treats. It felt kinda fancy, not gonna lie.

The Taste Test (aka My Cat’s Opinion)
I started with the wet food. They had all these different flavors, like “Chicken Recipe” and “Tuna Recipe.” I popped open a chicken one, and it actually smelled…okay? Like, not super gross like some other cat foods. My cat, usually a picky eater, came running as soon as he heard the can open (of course). I scooped some into his bowl, and he dove right in. He gobbled it up pretty fast, so I guess that’s a good sign!
Dry Food Dilemma
Next up was the dry food. This was the part I was most curious about because my cat’s usually super particular about his kibble. The CatPerson kibble was a different shape than what he was used to – kinda like little triangles. I poured some into his bowl, and he just…stared at it. He sniffed it a few times, then walked away. Uh oh.
I wasn’t ready to give up yet. I mixed a little bit of the dry food with the wet food, hoping he wouldn’t notice. He ate most of it, but he definitely picked around some of the kibble. Sneaky little guy.
The Long-Term Experiment
Over the next few weeks, I kept trying to get him to eat the dry food. Sometimes he’d eat a little, sometimes he’d completely ignore it. The wet food, though? He was all over that. Every single flavor. He even started meowing at me around feeding time, which he never used to do.
The Verdict?
- Wet Food: 10/10. My cat’s a huge fan.
- Dry Food: 5/10. He’s still not completely sold.
- Overall: It’s a mixed bag. I love that he enjoys the wet food, and it seems like a good quality. I am still working through introducing the dry food. I’ll probably keep buying the wet food, but I might have to stick with his old kibble for now.
It’s been a bit of a journey, with some wins and some…well, not-so-wins. But hey, that’s cat ownership for you, right? Always an adventure!
