Okay, so I’ve been meaning to find a good place to take my furry buddy, Winston (he’s a golden retriever, by the way), for some grooming and maybe even daycare. I heard about this place, “Care A Lot Pets” in Newport News, so I decided to give it a shot.
First, I looked them up online. Just wanted to see what kind of services they offered and, you know, get a general vibe. Their website was okay, and gave the basic information, but nothing special.
Then, I gave them a call. A super friendly lady answered, and I asked about their grooming packages. I was like, “Winston needs the works – bath, haircut, nail trim, the whole shebang!” She explained everything clearly, the different options, the prices, all that. It was very detail and that made me so happy.
Next, I booked an appointment. It was pretty easy, they had some openings the following week, so I snagged a spot on Wednesday afternoon.
When Wednesday rolled around, I loaded Winston into the car (he loves car rides!) and we headed over to Care A Lot Pets. The place was easy to find, plenty of parking, which is always a plus.
Inside, it was clean and smelled pretty good, considering it’s a place for pets. I checked Winston in, and the staff was really nice, fussing over him and making him feel * took him to the back, and I decided to go for a coffee while.
About two hours later, I got a call that he was ready. When I picked him up, he looked AMAZING! Fluffy, clean, and smelling like a million bucks. Seriously, they did a fantastic job.
My Overall Impression:
- Pros: Friendly staff, clean facility, great grooming service, easy booking.
- Cons: Maybe their website could be a little better. It was okay, but maybe adding a bit more detailed information would make customers more conviced.
I’m definitely going back. Winston seemed happy, and I was super impressed with the grooming. If you’re in the Newport News area and need a place for your pet, I’d say Care A Lot Pets is worth checking out!
