Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this pet supply store, Care A Lot Pet Supply in Newport News, for a while now. My friend, Sarah, raved about their selection of organic dog food, and you guys know I’m all about that for my golden retriever, Max.
Getting There
First things first, I needed to find the place. I grabbed my phone and do a quickly searching.
First Impressions
Pulled up to the store, and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not some huge, overwhelming big-box store. It’s got a real local, friendly vibe, which I dig. There’s plenty of parking, which is always a win in my book.
Inside the Store
Stepped inside, and wow, it’s bigger than it looks from the outside!
- Aisles of Food: They’ve got everything – dry food, wet food, raw food, even freeze-dried. All the big brands, and a bunch of smaller, specialty ones I’d never even heard of.
- Treat Central: Oh boy, Max would go nuts here. Chews, bones, biscuits, training treats… you name it, they’ve got it. And lots of healthy, natural options too.
- Toys Galore: From sturdy ropes to plush squeaky toys, they had a great toy section. I spotted a few that I knew Max would love (and probably destroy in five minutes, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?).
- Grooming Supplies: Shampoos, conditioners, brushes… everything you need to keep your furry friend looking and smelling their best.
- Other Stuff: They also had beds, bowls, leashes, collars, and even some cute pet apparel.
Chatting with the Staff
I wanted to find that specific organic food Sarah mentioned, so I asked one of the staff members for help. She was super friendly and knew her stuff! She pointed me right to the brand, and even gave me some samples to take home for Max to try.
My Purchase
Ended up grabbing a bag of the organic food, plus a couple of new chew toys for Max (because I couldn’t resist). The prices were reasonable, especially for the quality of the products.
Final Thoughts
I’m really glad I finally checked out Care A Lot Pet Supply. It’s a great local spot with a fantastic selection and a friendly atmosphere. Definitely going to be my go-to pet store from now on. If you are finding a good pet supply, try it!
