Okay, so I set out to find a Rottweiler breeder in Texas. Here’s how it went down, start to finish.
The Initial Search
First, I fired up Google. I typed in “rottweiler breeders texas,” plain and simple. I figured that would be the best way to get the ball rolling.

Sifting Through the Results
I got a bunch of results, obviously. Some were kennels, some were, uh, less professional-looking operations. I started clicking through, one by one. I was looking for websites that looked clean and, you know, legit.
Checking for Key Info
On each website, I scrolled around, hunting for a few key things. Like, did they have pictures of the dogs? Did they talk about health testing? Did they have any info about the parents’ temperaments? Those were big deals for me. I also have checked out that their dogs are raised in a safe enviroment and socialized since puppy time. These are essential for a good dog’s behavior.
- Pictures: Gotta see those adorable pups!
- Health Testing: Looking for mentions of hip/elbow scores, heart checks, things like that.
- Temperament: I wanted to see words like “confident,” “loyal,” and “good with families.”
Making Contact
Once I found a few breeders that seemed promising, I located their contact info. Most had email addresses, some had phone numbers. I decided to send out a few emails, introducing myself and asking some basic questions.
The Waiting Game
Then came the waiting. It took a few days to hear back from some breeders. Some never even responded, which, okay, fine. Less work for me. I am still in this phase now.
Next Steps(Maybe)
The breeders who did respond, I engaged in further conversation. We talk about upcoming litters, pricing and, the possibility of visiting the kennel in person. I plan on doing that if things felt right, to see the dogs and meet the breeder face-to-face before the big decision.
This whole process have taken me a few weeks and,it’s still ongoing. But I feel like I’m on the right track to finding a good, reputable Rottweiler breeder in Texas.
