Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with this whole “blue lilac French Bulldog” thing lately. It’s not something I’d normally be into, but I saw a picture and, well, I had to try and create one myself, somehow, someway, so I start to do it!
My “Blue Lilac” Journey
First things first, I jumped online. I needed to figure out what this even looked like. I mean, I know what a French Bulldog is, and I know what blue and lilac colors are, but together? It was a mystery.

So, I spent a good hour just scrolling through images. Lots of cute dogs, I’ll give it that! But it also gave me a better idea of the color combo I was aiming for. It’s like, this soft, dusty blue with a hint of lavender. Really unique.
Next, I needed to some tools to create the dog. I thought about my options. Could I draw it? Nope. Paint it? Double nope. I’m not that talented. Then it hit me: digital art!
I loaded up my software,it’s really easy to * then I got to do it. I’ve never really tried “painting” on a computer before, so this was all new. I picked the color tools, I find it really cool.
- I started with a basic Frenchie shape. Just a rough outline, nothing fancy.
- Then I began to coloring the body shape, and added shades.
- I played around with different brushes. Some were too harsh, some too soft. I finally found one that gave me that fluffy, almost blurry look I wanted.
- The eyes were tricky! I wanted them to look realistic, but also kind of dreamy.I am happy with it finally.
Honestly, it took me a few tries. I kept messing up the colors, making it too blue, or too purple. It was frustrating, but I kept going. I deleted so many layers, started over so many times, I almost gave up.
But finally, after a few evenings of work, I had something I was happy with. It’s not perfect, but it’s my blue lilac French Bulldog. And I actually did it, which is pretty cool, if I do say so myself.
I’m even thinking of printing it out and framing it. Maybe. We’ll see. For now, I’m just happy I managed to create something that was stuck in my head for so long.
