So, I gotta tell you about this little adventure I had the other day. Needed to find an urgent care in St. Peter, MN, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First off, I started with a good old Google search, you know, just typing in “urgent care St. Peter, MN”.

- Got a bunch of results, like, right away. It felt like a good start.
Browsed through a few of these search listings. Some were talking about same-day appointments, which sounded pretty good, but I wasn’t sure about booking online without knowing more.
Then I saw something about River’s Edge Hospital Urgent Care. I looked up the location, it was 1900 N Sunrise Dr. So I took a note of that, decided to find out some more about them.
- I read that they are open 24 hours.
- It was a relief, you know, knowing there’s a place you can go to anytime.
I also stumbled upon some reviews on Yelp, but most of them looked pretty bad. There was mention of “Urgent Care Main Street” and “Park Nicollet Clinic”, but I wasn’t too sure about those either. I remembered there’s also a place called “MinuteClinic at CVS” but I didn’t have time to check that out.
There was also this place called Mayo Clinic Health System, also on Sunrise Dr, but a different number. I took a note, just in case.
- It seemed like they handle non-emergency stuff, so that was good to know.
I tried to get more info, dialed some numbers to find out about their services. I have an issue with my right shoulder, and sometimes I need to do some basic physical examination to monitor my status. So I checked some urgent care that provides a sports physical service.
- I even heard they can give you a flu shot, but I’m not sure if I need one right now.
The Outcome
In the end, I decided to go to River’s Edge. It seemed like the most straightforward option, and they’re open all the time. It was a bit of a hassle, going through all these options, but hey, at least I found a place. I wrote down everything to prepare. It’s always good to have options, right? Especially when it comes to health stuff, you never know when you’re gonna need it.
