Okay, here’s a blog post about building a three-bowl pet feeder, written in the style you requested:
So, I’ve got this pet, you know, and feeding time was always a bit of a mess. Multiple bowls sliding around, water splashing, kibble everywhere, the food was empty after i finished working… Not fun. I did some looking around online – what are people using? Elevated feeders? Fancy automatic things? And then I thought, hey, I can probably just make something myself, I like DIY a lot. Why not? Thus I started to make a three-bowl feeder that would work for me.

First, I gotta figure out what I even wanted. I realized I needed something that could hold food, obviously, and water, of course. Maybe a third bowl for wet food or treats? Yeah, that sounded good. And it has to be raised off the ground ’cause I heard that’s better for them, you know, digestion and stuff. I saw someone talking about “better posture” for their dog, so, sure, let’s do that too. I sketched out a rough idea on a napkin – just a simple wooden stand with three holes for the bowls.
- Started measuring and cutting the wood.
- Screwed the pieces together to make the basic frame.
- Sanded it down so it was nice and smooth, no splinters for my buddy!
Next up, the bowls. I found these stainless steel ones at the pet store that were the perfect size. I used a jigsaw to cut out the holes in the top of the stand, making sure they were just the right diameter so the bowls would fit snugly. The bowls fit perfectly. Nice!
I thought about painting it, but then I figured, nah, the natural wood look is kinda nice. Plus, it’s less work for me. I did put a coat of sealant on it though, just to protect it from water spills and make it easier to clean.
The Result
And that’s it! My very own custom-made three-bowl pet feeder. It’s sturdy, it’s the right height, and it looks pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. Feeding time is way less chaotic now. No more chasing bowls around the kitchen! My pet seems to like it too, which is the important thing. He’s eating and drinking comfortably, and that makes me happy. Overall, I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out. It wasn’t too hard to make, and it’s made a real difference. If you’re thinking about a DIY pet project, I’d say give this one a try. It was a good weekend project, and it solved my problems of bowls sliding, water splashing, etc. This three bowl feeder is such a good solution!
This is what I made today and wish all of you have a good time with your furry friends.
