So, I’ve always been a cat person, and I recently decided to get a Chocolate Point Siamese. Let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey!
Getting Ready for My New Friend
First things first, I had to prepare my home. I already have a cat, but I still had to do some extra prep work. I made sure to cat-proof some areas again, just in case this new cat was more mischievous than the other one. And I got some new toys and a scratching post because I wanted my new kitty to feel welcomed from the start. Oh, and I definitely stocked up on cat food – you never know how much these little guys can eat!
Finding the Perfect Kitty
Next up was finding the cat. Chocolate Point Siamese aren’t exactly common, so it took some searching. I checked out a few breeders, and let me tell you, the price range was wild! Some were asking for up to $2,500! I eventually found a breeder a bit further away who had a litter, and thankfully the price was a little more reasonable. I guess there were more kittens than they expected, so they lowered the price a bit. Score!
Bringing My Furry Buddy Home
Bringing my new Chocolate Point Siamese home was exciting and a little nerve-wracking. I made sure to introduce him to my other cat slowly. It took some time, but they’re finally getting along. They even play together sometimes, which is super cute to watch.
Living with a Chocolate Point Siamese
Living with this cat has been an experience. They’re definitely not low-maintenance! They need a lot of attention and are always wanting to play. And they’re talkers! They have this low-pitched meow that’s kind of funny. They really do “talk” to you, especially when they want something. It’s like they’re having a full-on conversation.
- They’re Super Smart: This cat is way smarter than I expected. They’re always exploring and figuring things out.
- They Love to Play: Seriously, they could play all day. I’ve had to get creative with toys to keep them entertained.
- They’re Very Vocal: They will let you know exactly what they want, when they want it. It’s never a dull moment.
Overall, getting a Chocolate Point Siamese has been amazing. It’s been a lot of work, but totally worth it. These cats are unique, beautiful, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a cat that’s always going to keep you on your toes, then this might be the breed for you!
