Okay, so I wanted to get a Garfield skin for my Minecraft character on Bedrock. I’ve always loved that lazy, lasagna-loving cat, and I thought it would be hilarious to run around the game looking like him.
First, I started up Minecraft and went straight to the dressing room. I never messed with skins before, so I was poking around a bit. I saw there’s a “classic skins” tab on the left side of the screen, so I clicked on that.

Next, under the “owned skins” section, I noticed a blank skin. I figured that must be where you add a new one, so I clicked on it. And yeah, it popped up a button that said “choose new skin.”
But I didn’t even have a Garfield skin yet! I remembered seeing some folks talking about a site called Planet Minecraft for skins, so I hopped on my browser and searched for “Minecraft Garfield Skins” on there.
There are a bunch of Garfield skins on there, made by other players. Some are okay, some are really well-made. I saw one that someone said was their own Garfield skin, and they mentioned it was made because another user requested it. That’s pretty cool of them.
- Find a Skin: I browsed through the skins and found one that I really liked. It captured Garfield’s grumpy, yet lovable, expression perfectly.
- Download: I hit the download button for that skin, and it saved the file to my computer. I made sure to remember where I saved it.
Back in the game, I clicked that “choose new skin” button again and selected the Garfield skin file I just downloaded. I had to choose between a slim or classic model, and, well, Garfield’s not exactly slim, so I went with classic.
And boom!
There I was, in all my glory, as Garfield in Minecraft. It was so worth the little bit of effort. Now, I can mine, build, and fight off creepers while looking like the world’s most famous Monday-hating cat. It’s been a blast playing with this skin!
