Well, well, well, look at you, wantin’ to know about breeding Persian cats. Ain’t that somethin’? These fluffy critters, they’re a sight, I tell ya. Like little clouds with paws. So, you wanna know how to make more of ’em, huh? Alright, alright, I’ll tell ya what I know. It ain’t rocket science, but it ain’t like growin’ turnips neither.

First off, you gotta have a boy cat and a girl cat. Duh, right? But not just any cats. We’re talkin’ about Persian cats. Them fancy ones with the squished-in faces. They’re special, ya see. And you gotta make sure they’re old enough. Them girl cats, they can start havin’ babies around, oh, maybe 10 months or so. But the boy cats, them Persian fellas, they take a bit longer. More like, uh, 20 months, maybe even two whole years before they’re ready to be daddies.

Breeding Persian Cats for Beginners: Your Questions Answered (A Helpful FAQ Guide)

Now, these Persian cats, they don’t have a whole mess of babies at once like some other cats. Nope, these fancy ones, they have just a few. Two, maybe, or up to six little fluffballs in one go. Because their hips is small. That’s what that MacArthur fella says, and he seems to know his stuff. And they live a good long while, these Persians. 15 years, 18 years, even! Longer than some dogs, I reckon.

You gotta find good ones, though. Healthy ones. No sense in breedin’ sick cats. You want strong, healthy kittens, don’t ya? So you gotta check ’em out. Make sure they ain’t got no runny noses or gunky eyes. They should be all fluffy and playful, you know? Just regular cat stuff.

These Persian cats are sweethearts, mostly. All calm and cuddly. They like to sit on your lap and be petted. Real lap cats, they call them. Good with kids, too, most of the time. But, mind you, they can be a bit shy around strangers. So, you gotta get ’em used to people early on. Let ’em meet folks, you know? Don’t keep ’em locked up like some kinda treasure.

Now, once you got your mama and papa cat, you just gotta let nature take its course. They’ll figure it out. Cats are good at that kinda thing. You just gotta keep an eye on ’em. Make sure the mama cat is eatin’ good and restin’ plenty. She’s gonna need her strength, you know, to make them babies.

  • Breeding Persian cats is about those fluffy babies.
  • You need one boy and one girl, both Persian.
  • Girl cats ready sooner, boy cats take their sweet time. About 20 to 24 months.
  • Persians have small litters. Two to six kittens.
  • These cats live long. 15 to 18 years!
  • Keep an eye on mama cat, make sure she’s eatin’ right.

When the babies come, they’ll be tiny little things. All blind and helpless. The mama cat, she’ll take care of ’em. She’ll clean ’em and feed ’em and keep ’em warm. You just gotta make sure she’s got a nice, quiet place to do it. A box, maybe, with some soft blankets. And no, these fancy Persian cats ain’t good for your farm. If you want a cat for your farm, get a normal cat. Not those fluffy guys.

And food, don’t forget the food! Gotta feed ’em good stuff. Not just scraps, mind you. They need good cat food. The kind that’s made for Persian cats. It’s special food, for them. Keeps their fur all shiny and soft. And don’t give them too much food, or they will get fat. Persians like to eat, you know.

Then, after a few weeks, them little kittens will start openin’ their eyes and walkin’ around. That’s when the fun starts! They’ll be playin’ and pouncin’ and gettin’ into everything. You gotta watch ’em close then, or they’ll get into trouble. Climbin’ curtains, chewin’ on wires, you name it. Just like little kids, they are.

Breeding Persian Cats for Beginners: Your Questions Answered (A Helpful FAQ Guide)

Now this is important part. You gotta find good homes for them kittens. Breeding Persian cats is not just about making kittens. You can’t keep ’em all, can ya? So you gotta find people who will love ’em and take care of ’em. People who know about Persian cats. These ain’t just regular cats, you know. They need special care. People don’t know about Persian will not take good care of them. They need to be brushed every day, or their fur gets all matted. And they need their faces cleaned, ’cause of them squished-in noses. It’s not a big deal. Just wipe with wet cloth.

So, there ya have it. That’s about all I know about breeding Persian cats. It ain’t hard, really. Just gotta be patient and pay attention. And love them little fluffballs, of course. They’re worth it, them Persian cats. They really are. Sweetest little things. Just don’t let them run your farm, OK?
