Well, hello there! You wanna know about them fancy cat names from that there movie, “The Aristocats,” huh? Alright, alright, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no big words or nothin’, I ain’t one of them city folk.
So, in that there movie, the main mama cat, she’s called Duchess. Yeah, like a real high-falutin’ name. Means somethin’ like a lady of high rank, I think. Fancy, right? But she was a good mama cat, looked after her kittens real good.

And them kittens, oh, they had some names too. Let’s see, there was Berlioz. That’s a boy kitten, and his name, it’s kinda hard to say. Sounds all foreign and stuff. I heard it’s the name of some music fella, real famous, but I wouldn’t know nothin’ ’bout that.
Then there was Marie. That’s a girl kitten, and that name, well, it’s a bit more normal. A lot of folks name their girls Marie. She was a sweet little thing, all white and fluffy, but a bit of a priss, if you ask me.
- Duchess – The mama cat, real fancy name.
- Berlioz – One of the boy kittens, hard to say name.
- Marie – The girl kitten, pretty and a bit prissy.
- Toulouse – Another boy kitten, kinda chunky and liked to paint.
And the last kitten, he was called Toulouse. Another boy. He was the chubby one, always eatin’ and gettin’ into trouble. And he liked to paint, can you believe it? A cat paintin’! Well, I guess them city cats are different.
Now, there was another cat in that movie, but he wasn’t no fancy pants like them others. He was a street cat, O’Malley his name was. Thomas O’Malley. A real charmer, that one. He helped Duchess and her kittens get back home, he did. Good cat, even if he was a bit rough around the edges.
You know, pickin’ a cat name, it ain’t easy. You gotta find somethin’ that fits, somethin’ that feels right. You could go all fancy like Duchess, or somethin’ simple like Marie. Or you could name your cat after food, like my neighbor did. Called her cat “Biscuit,” can you believe it? But hey, it was her cat, her choice.
I reckon if you’re lookin’ for a name for your own cat, you could take some inspiration from “The Aristocats,” sure. But don’t go thinkin’ you gotta be all fancy. A good cat don’t care what you call it, long as you feed it and give it a warm place to sleep.
Them city folks, they got all sorts of names. Heard tell of cats named Roomba, and Chuggs, and even Frito! Imagine that, callin’ a cat Frito! Sounds like somethin’ you eat, not somethin’ you pet. But like I said, to each their own.

If you got yourself a girl cat, you could name her Beatrice, that’s a nice French name. Means somethin’ like “she who makes happiness.” Or maybe Beatrix, that’s kinda similar. Means “blessed” or somethin’ like that. But me, I always liked simple names. Like Fluffy, or Mittens, or somethin’ like that. Easy to remember, easy to say.
And if you got a boy cat, well, you could name him after somethin’ strong, like Tiger or Bear. Or somethin’ funny, like Socks, if he’s got white paws. It don’t really matter, long as you like it. That’s what I always say.
So, there you have it. All I know about them “Aristocats” and their names. Hope it helped ya some. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my own cat. And no, her name ain’t nothin’ fancy. Just plain old “Kitty.” And she suits me just fine.
