Alright, let’s talk about feeding them big ol’ Presa Canario dogs. You know, those strong, kinda scary-lookin’ fellas? Yeah, them. Gotta feed ’em right, or they ain’t gonna be happy, and you ain’t gonna be happy neither. It’s like this, if you don’t eat good, you ain’t gonna feel good, right? Same goes for them dogs.

First off, what them dogs really need is good, real food. Like, fruits and veggies, and yeah, even raw meat. I know, sounds kinda fancy, but that’s what’s best for ’em. Keeps ’em strong and healthy. You don’t wanna be feedin’ ’em that cheap, dry stuff all the time. It ain’t got enough of that… whatchamacallit… protein, yeah, protein! Them big dogs need a lot of it.

Now, how much you gotta feed ’em? Well, a grown-up Presa, he’s gonna eat a good two pounds of food a day, maybe more. They’re big, ya know? Like, real big. Gotta fill ’em up.

Let’s talk about them dry foods for a bit. I ain’t sayin’ you can’t use ‘em at all, but you gotta be careful. Don’t just grab any old bag. Look for the ones with lots of meat in ‘em. See that list on the back? The first thing better be somethin’ like buffalo, or lamb, or even chicken. Not corn, not wheat, meat! That’s what keeps them dogs goin’. One good one I heard about is called “Taste of the Wild High Prairie.” Folks say it’s pretty good, got all that good meat in it.

  • Meat first! Buffalo, lamb, chicken – that’s what you want.
  • No cheap fillers! Stay away from the stuff that’s mostly corn and junk.
  • Enough protein! Big dogs need lots of it to stay strong.

And another thing, them Presa Canarios, they can be kinda… well, they like to guard stuff. They might not like strangers at first, but they’re good with kids if you teach ‘em right. And they can be friendly with other dogs too, but you gotta start ‘em young. It’s important they eat well so they have the energy to play with other dogs and not get all cranky because they are hungry!

Now, some of them dogs, they might get sick sometimes. But mostly, Presa Canarios are pretty healthy. Just make sure you get your dog from a good breeder, someone who knows what they’re doin’. A good breeder will make sure the puppies get good food right from the start.

So, you gotta find the right food for your Presa. It’s gotta be safe, gotta be somethin’ you can afford, and gotta have all them good things them dogs need. AAFCO, yeah, that’s what they call it. The food’s gotta have that AAFCO thing, means it’s good for ‘em.

Think about it like this: good food keeps their energy up, keeps their coat lookin’ shiny, and just keeps ‘em healthy all around. It’s like puttin’ good gas in your car, you know? Makes it run better.

And remember, every dog is different. Just like people, some need different things. Maybe your dog’s got allergies, or maybe he’s gettin’ old. You gotta pay attention and feed ‘em what’s right for them. Don’t just go by what someone else says, you gotta look at your own dog and see what he needs. It’s common sense, really.

So, there you have it. Feed your Presa Canario good food, and he’ll be a happy, healthy dog. And that’s all there is to it. It ain’t rocket science, ya know?
