Alright, let’s talk about them blue eyed ragdoll cats, you know, the fluffy ones. I seen some pictures, and they look real pretty, like little clouds with eyes.

Them cats, they say they’re real relaxed. Don’t go scratchin’ and hissin’ all the time, I guess. Good for folks with kids, I reckon. Kids pullin’ tails and whatnot, this cat just sits there, purrin’ like a motor. That’s what they tell me, anyways.

Blue Eyed Ragdoll Cat: What Makes Them So Special?

Now, why them eyes so blue? Well, it’s got somethin’ to do with them bein’ bred from other cats with blue eyes, like them Siamese ones. You know, the ones that yowl a lot. This colorpoint gene, they call it. Fancy words for just meanin’ they got blue eyes cause their mamas and daddies did.

  • Blue Torbie Point Bicolor Ragdolls: Sound like a mouthful, don’t it? These ones, they got stripes and patches of color, real fancy lookin’. But they’re awful rare, and mostly girl cats, so don’t go holdin’ your breath tryin’ to find one. And ‘bicolor’, that just means two colors. Like a cow. Black and white, that’s bicolor. This cat same, two colors only.
  • Blue Point Ragdolls: These are the ones you see most, I think. Just plain blue on the points – you know, the ears, the tail, the paws. And them blue eyes, of course. Friendly fellas, they say. Easygoin’. Like an old dog, but a cat.

I heard these cats are good for busy homes. You know, places where folks are comin’ and goin’ all the time. They don’t get all worked up, just chill out. That’s good, cause nobody wants a cat that’s always underfoot, yowlin’ and such. I had a cat like that once, drove me batty, it did.

Some folks say them blue eyes really pop if you use the right eyeshadow… Eyeshadow? For a cat? Now that’s just silly. Sounds like somethin’ them city folks do. We just let the cats be cats, out here. But they said somethin’ about warm colors, bronze and copper, makin’ the blue eyes stand out. I don’t know nothin’ about that, though. I only use copper to clean pots.

And talkin’ about blue, I heard tell of some blue turkeys, somewhere. And blue willows in Greenland. Greenland, that’s a cold place, I hear. Don’t know what a willow is doin’ there, much less a blue one. This world is full of strange things, I tell you. Blue cats, blue turkeys, blue trees… What’ll they think of next?

Anyways, if you want a cat that’s pretty and calm, one of them blue eyed ragdoll cats might be just the ticket. Just don’t go puttin’ eyeshadow on it. And keep it away from them blue turkeys, just in case. You never know with animals.

And don’t get them confused with them mutant fellas. I heard some story about a girl named Jackie seein’ marks on her wrist, like somethin’ bit her. Nothin’ to do with cats, that ain’t. Just weird people doin’ weird things. Stick to the cats, they’re easier to understand.

So there you have it. Everything I know about blue eyed ragdoll cats, and a whole bunch of other stuff besides. Hope it helped you some. Now, I gotta go feed my chickens. They don’t have blue eyes, but they lay good eggs, and that’s what matters to me.

And don’t forget, them ragdolls are supposed to be big and floppy, like a ragdoll, I guess. Hence the name, probably. I ain’t never seen one in person, but I seen pictures. Fluffy things, they are. I bet they shed a lot, though. More fur than a dog, I reckon. You’d be sweepin’ up fur all day long.

But if you want a pretty cat, and you don’t mind the fur, a blue eyed ragdoll cat might just be the ticket. Just remember what I told you, now. And don’t go lookin’ for no blue eyeshadow. That’s just crazy talk.
