Well, now, I tell ya, it looks like Pete Carroll is done with the Seattle Seahawks, after a mighty long run of almost 15 years. Yup, that’s right. He ain’t gonna be calling the shots for ’em no more. The Seahawks, they went and parted ways with ol’ Pete on a Wednesday, of all days. And I reckon that’s quite the news for folks who been followin’ the team for all these years.

Pete Carroll’s time with the Seahawks was somethin’ special, that’s for sure. He took them to a Super Bowl, didn’t he? Now, things have changed though, and it looks like Pete just wasn’t as much in the picture anymore. Seahawks owner, Jody Allen, went ahead and made the decision, and it’s official now. Pete’s out as head coach.
You know, there was a time when Pete Carroll and the Seahawks were on top of the world. They were winnin’, they were takin’ championships, and folks around the country was talkin’ ’bout ’em. But just like everything in this ol’ world, times change. Pete’s been with the team for so long, but now, after all those years, the glory days seem to be behind him. It ain’t easy for a coach to stay at the top forever. The game changes, and sometimes the team just needs somethin’ new.
What’s next for Pete Carroll? Well, it looks like Pete ain’t sittin’ around just waitin’ for the next thing to come his way. Nah, he’s got somethin’ else in mind. Word is, Pete’s gonna head back to his old stompin’ grounds at the University of Southern California—USC, as they call it—where he was the head coach before. He was there from 2001 to 2009, runnin’ the show, and now he’s gonna go back. But this time, it ain’t for coaching football. No, sir, he’s takin’ up a teachin’ job. And while he hasn’t spilled the beans about all the details just yet, he did say it’s gonna be a mighty excitin’ adventure when things get all squared away.
But don’t go thinkin’ ol’ Pete is done with the world of sports just yet. He’s got a lotta experience under his belt, and he ain’t shy ’bout sharing it. He’s been through a lot—started off as a defensive backs coach with the Buffalo Bills back in 1984. And then, you know, he got his chance as the head coach of the New York Jets back in ’94. Didn’t last long with the Jets though, just one season. But he hung around the NFL, got himself a bit of a reputation, and even landed a gig with the New England Patriots for a spell.
After all that, he finally hit it big with the Seahawks. Now, after all these years, he’s movin’ on again. A man’s gotta know when to make his move, and it seems like Pete Carroll has figured that out. He’s made a lot of folks proud, and I reckon he’ll keep on doin’ his thing in whatever comes next.

What did people say about Pete Carroll? Well, folks who’ve followed him over the years, they say a lot of good things. Even though he’s not coachin’ the Seahawks no more, people still respect the man for what he done for that team. He helped turn the franchise around and gave ’em a taste of success they hadn’t had in a long time. He brought a championship to Seattle, and that’s somethin’ that’ll go down in history for sure.
And you can’t forget about his family life. Pete’s been married to Glena Goranson since 1976. Yep, they been through thick and thin together. And they got three kids, too. That’s a big family, ain’t it? Before Glena, he was married to Wendy Pearl, but that’s all in the past now. Pete’s been a family man, and that’s somethin’ folks appreciate too.
So, there ya have it. Pete Carroll’s done with the Seahawks, but he ain’t done with life. He’s movin’ on to new things, and who knows what’s next? He’s been in this game a long time, and he’ll keep on findin’ new ways to stay involved. Ain’t no rest for the weary, they say!
